[Bug 1409539] Re: plink -V is broken
This should naturally get fixed when 0.64 is released upstream and then packaged for Debian/Ubuntu. In 0.63 and earlier, there's a complicated manifest system so that any local patches (such as Debian/Ubuntu have) cause 0.63 source to no longer declare itself as 0.63. In 0.64 that will be gone. http://tartarus.org/~simon-git/gitweb/?p=putty.git;a=commit;h=4d8782e74fed043fdf549718f99494622fe9e79b -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409539 Title: plink -V is broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/putty/+bug/1409539/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

--- Comment From mainam...@in.ibm.com 2015-01-12 08:40 EDT--- (In reply to comment #4) Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. [Bug 1362211] Re: enable fdk-aac, x262, x264 10bit and x265
You're right, the plugin doesn't really work because of clashing symbols. Yikes. Sorry, Jussi, I didn't know that warning was present. I have reported bug 1409749 on the error, which is really the root problem here. One of the ways of addressing that bug would be to make PPAs findable and/or browseable. But it's probably not the best choice, for the reasons I outlined, and because the effort required to implement that would be greater than the effort of reviewing free apps until the new upload process is available. ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409542 Title: PPAs not visible in the Software Center To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1409542/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1409608] Re: The 32-bit i386 install executes SSE instructions.
The default 32-bit Intel compile flags in Ubuntu are for Pentium III (i586) or later, which all provide SSE instructions. The Sempron line of GPUs from AMD have all supported SSE instructions, although some of the earlier ones do not support SSE2/SSE3 extensions. I myself have a system with an Athlon 3000+ (predecessor to the Sempron) on which Compiz runs just peachy, but I run a 64-bit image. Compiz does not explicitly include any Intel-specific intrinsics or assembly code, so does not invoke SSE instructions directly. It's possible that SSE instructions are introduced by the compiler where the optimizer says it's advantageous, or linked in from a dynamically-loaded shared object such as an image decoder library or user-space video driver. WIthout examining the core dump it is not possible to say what the cause of this crash was. Please try attaching the relevant crash information to this bug by using the terminal command apport-collect 1409608. We might be able to dive a little deeper with more information. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409608 Title: The 32-bit i386 install executes SSE instructions. [Bug 1409639] Re: juju needs to support systemd for = vivid
Feature freeze isn't until Mid-February, so any new feature can be put into the vivid package without problems by then. Even after that this will certainly get a freeze exception as this is a release goal. But as this apparently blocks OpenStack deployment/testing (said James Page), we'd probably backport this before feature freeze once it lands in trunk. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409639 Title: juju needs to support systemd for = vivid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/juju-core/+bug/1409639/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1409758] [NEW] friends-dispatcher allocates extreme amount of memory
Public bug reported: While using my computer I suddenly found out that it was running out of memory due to friends-dispatcher consuming about 1.5g of RAM. CPU usage went up to 100% but I am not certain whether this is because of friends-dispatcher or because of the heavy swapping activity. I assume the tool gets stuck in a loop, allocating more and more memory until the system runs out of free RAM.
