Re: [Bug 1216385] Re: [needs-packaging] scanbd
On 04.03.2015 14:15, sander wrote: > I believe that's because that one was suggested in some scanbd > documentation. I believe the better dependency for the package will be "openbsd-inetutils|inet-superserver". That's taken care of now in version 1.4.1-3rl4. All the things you raised should thus be incorporated in the latest non-release 3rl4 (which I believe I will release as 1.4.1-4 to experimental and vivid today). I can see that scanbd now indeed successfully calls the scripts. sane-find-scanner sees the scanner, but scanimage -L does not. Does it show up for you? Another thing that recently stopped working is scanbd -f from the command line. Go figure. BTW, are you having saned to start up automatically? Apparently, that would be an error, even though I don't think it's mentioned clearly anywhere within the already long docs. There's a lot of implicit assumptions with configuration for saned and scanbd and I still find it difficult to navigate the upstream docs. Again, my hope is that eventually scanbd on Debian will just work after installation without the need for any further intervention from the user. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1216385 Title: [needs-packaging] scanbd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/scanbd/+bug/1216385/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1427924] Re: autopkgtest failures if nvidia dkms module fails to build
Martin, the reason I filed this bug against ubuntu-drivers-common is that the behavior of this package's tests is at odds with proposed- migration. There is a new version of perl waiting to reach vivid, which causes ubuntu-drivers-common's tests to be run and report a failure because of a regression in a package that is *not* a dependency of ubuntu-drivers-common. perl, or other dependencies of ubuntu-drivers- common, shouldn't find themselves blocked because of a regression in an nvidia driver package; and testing that the nvidia dkms drivers can be built should happen /when the kernel package is updated/, which didn't happen here. The tests are currently happening in the wrong place to be useful for proposed-migration, and that should be fixed. ** Changed in: ubuntu-drivers-common (Ubuntu) Status: Won't Fix => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427924 Title: autopkgtest failures if nvidia dkms module fails to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-304/+bug/1427924/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1425981] Re: touchpad module unloaded after suspend and wake up
I am too stupid to locate the 'tags' , however, I did test for 3.18-vivid and v4.0-rc2-vivid. Both kernel works however v4.0 is partial successfully installed in my laptop. Could you help to add tags, thank you so much. BTW, my laptop has ability to switch to tablet mode (360-degree hinge) to disable touch pad and enable after switch back from tablet mode, however, doesn't work for ubuntu (originally works for windows). [Bug 1427991] Re: Stop build-depending on private Qt headers
I've pushed branches for those that compile just fine without the private headers. For ubuntu-settings-components and ubuntu-keyboard, is it correct that you're only using the private headers for tests and not anything that gets installed into packages? That would explain why they are not picking up the flag of using private symbols. You can mark this Won't Fix if you can't get around using the private stuff in tests. And thank you for not using them in the main software! But if you can find anything in eg. Qt 5.4 to get around your QWindowSystemInterface::registerTouchDevice usage, that would be nice. [Bug 1427991] [NEW] Stop build-depending on private Qt headers
Public bug reported: Your package is build-depending on either qtbase5-private-dev or qtdeclarative5-private-dev, but it does not seem to use any symbols marked as private. Even if it would use private headers, please consider stopping using those since there may be incompatible changes in future Qt versions. Depend only on the qtbase5-dev and/or qtdeclarative5-dev. The reason for this bug is to both limit private headers usage and to keep better track of the users. ** Affects: ubuntu-keyboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-push-qml (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-settings-components (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-keyboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-settings-components (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427991 Title: Stop build-depending on private Qt headers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-keyboard/+bug/1427991/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1427982] [NEW] libtest-requiresinternet-perl test suite requires Internet
Public bug reported: The libtest-requiresinternet-perl package uses the generic pkg-perl- autopkgtest harness, which tests that the module can be imported with no errors and no output. The Test::RequiresInternet perl module, on import, immediately checks that it can reach www.google.com, and if it can't, it outputs an error. This is not an appropriate thing for a package to be doing in its autopkgtest test suite. The test runners are not guaranteed to have an (unfirewalled) Internet connection, and the package test should not depend on the Internet being reachable. ** Affects: libtest-requiresinternet-perl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427982 Title: libtest-requiresinternet-perl test suite requires Internet To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libtest-requiresinternet-perl/+bug/1427982/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1427981] [NEW] pthread_join failure
Public bug reported: pthread_join() appears to behave differently depending on gcc optimization is on or off. Build the attached source file with gcc -O2 or gcc -O0 has shown different joining results. E.g., with `gcc pthread_join.c -lpthread -g -O2` it passes without issue. with `gcc pthread_join.c -lpthread -g -O0`, the program fails at pthread_join() with ESRCH. The same does not happen on other distros (tested on CentOS and Fedora).
