Silly me. Mir seems to be behaving correctly, although I can think of some
improvements. The real issue here is that dynamic double buffering relies on
the compositor (over)scheduling enough frames for the performance detection to
work. That means calling:
mir::compositor::Scene::frames_pend
4.2.0-040200rc3_4.2.0-040200rc3.201507192329 under test.
Sounds good (more than 5 boots OK).
To be confirmed in the next days before tagging fixed/bug-exists.

I have Ubuntu 14.04 LTS in my computer (Lenovo G40-45, 6.7 GB RAM, AMD
A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics × 4 processor and Gallium 0.4
on AMD MULLINS for graphics), I was using google chrome ver Versión
43.0.2357.134 (64-bit) for check my email and watch
doesn't work for me on kernel 4.0.8, 2012 RB. tried with/without hid-
rmi, and it's still not working. synclient doesn't start:
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
and an lsmod reveals that the hid-rmi module isn't loaded. relevant
