I'm facing the exact same issue on HP EliteBook 850 G2. I use Ubuntu
15.04 and I'm stuck with using kernel 3.19.0-28. Each time I try to use
a more recent kernel, I can't use any keyboard when prompted for my

Recovery mode is displayed unreadable

You don't need to comment on this bug at this point as such, the lack of
feature is understood and in progress.
The current status fields show that the design (Ubuntu UX) is complete
but the new design is not implemented (in ubuntu-system-settings) nor
released to users (Canonical System Image).
Public bug reported:
On the desktop, when a web site asks for a file dialog to pick a file
(like uploading a file), the dialog that appears is useless. I can't
see any files in my home directory. It just appears blank.
This is on xenial's 0.23+16.04.20151103-0ubuntu1 version of webbrowser-

This is another bug that produces segvs on power8 (could be related, not sure

I was able to reproduce this on wily/4.2 ppc64el machine trivially, and got the
following output:
gcc -g test.c -O2 -o test -fgnu-tm -lpthread
ulimit -c
Thanx to the fix in #23 I can now listen to uninterrupted A2DP audio
from my laptop and use (or better, -not- use) the mouse without causing
audio stutter. I'm running Kubuntu Wily (Frameworks 5.15.0, Applications
15.08.2, Plasma 5.4.2, Bluez 5.35).
