[Bug 1511154] Re: xdg-settings set fails with status 2 because of a small glitch
Attaching a patch with Michał's proposed fix, which works for me. I think it makes sense to use head -n1, the first Exec entry is likely to be a good pick -- if anyone adds a funny Exec entry, I'd expect it to not be the first one. I've found the same bug through a different path -- I ran execsnoop to try and figure out what chromium was doing when it complained about not being the default browser, and it's actually invoking `xdg-settings check default-web-browser chromium-browser.desktop`, which, in my environment (identified as gnome3) calls the exact same desktop_file_to_binary ... function. ** Patch added: "Add head -n1 to grep for Exec inside .desktop file, so the next command doesn't get a multiline input." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-utils/+bug/1511154/+attachment/4516300/+files/xdg-settings.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1511154 Title: xdg-settings set fails with status 2 because of a small glitch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-utils/+bug/1511154/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from Linus' tree or in a minimally backported form of that patch. [Bug 1513477] Re: PCI device has incorrect Vendor:Device ID when Southbridge used 0 wait reads
As I suspected the cause was in hardware, and specifically due to the motherboard using Master Write 0-wait state access, which meant the device had not completed mapping its registers into the PCI Config address space when the kernel probed for the Vendor ID. User applied my recommended BIOS configuration changes and the device is now correctly identified. The solution is to alter the BIOS settings. [Bug 1514885] [NEW] Emacs hangs upon yank from X clipboard
Public bug reported: I routinely copy text from other applications such as Chromium and Ctrl-Y to paste into Emacs. This worked fine as of Xubuntu 15.04. After upgrading to 15.10 (emacs24 24.5+1-1ubuntu2), the yank operation frequently hangs, freezing Emacs for perhaps a minute, not interruptible with Ctrl-G. Eventually it recovers (but pastes something other than the current clipboard contents). Once the problem starts happening, I cannot paste into my Emacs window without a hang, making it a blocker for routine usage. I found http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=16737 which linked to https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2015-07/msg00106.html from which I found http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/emacs.git/commit/?id=a27ae9d7650a1230d4359eaf0a949f827315a6d2 that seems to be a backport to Emacs 24. Uh, I've tried that, but it keeps splitting the argument values no matter how many slashes I add (they end up interpreted as part of the URL -- for instance, instead of "B" chromium gives me "B/" in the address bar). [Bug 1487704] Re: Call to deluge.core.Torrent.set_trackers() fails when trackers parameter is None
I should also add that if the OP is creating a plugin then it needs to be able to handle and workaround this bug otherwise it will break with all Deluge versions below 1.3.12 on other platforms so patching 1.3.11 in Vivid is not a good solution. Correct, we consider that latter case a "security hardening opportunity" and I'm triaging this report as one now (class D in our taxonomy https://security.openstack.org/vmt-process.html#incident-report-taxonomy ). Depending on severity and available time from editors in the Security Team, these sorts of issues sometimes get an OpenStack Security Note published (OSSN rather than OSSA). ** Changed in: ossa Status: Incomplete => Won't Fix ** Information type changed from Public Security to Public ** Tags added: security -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1422046 Title: cinder backup-list is always listing all tenants's bug for admin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/horizon/+bug/1422046/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1514881] Re: het volgende bestand komt niet overeen met het bronbestand op de dvd
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We noticed that you were installing the LTS version of Ubuntu using an older version of the installation media. The latest point release of 14.04 is 14.04.3. Please try installing from that version of the installation media and see if that resolves your issue. Thanks in advance! [This is an automated message.
