So I tried kernels 4.2.8, 4.1.0 and 3.13.11.11 . All show the same
beaviour: kernel panic after warm reboot. However now I played with the
setting of Virtual Box and switched back the network adapter type
paravirtualized network (virtio-net) from to Virtual Box's default Intel
Pro/1000 MT Desktop
The config file /etc/logrotate.d/glance-common has the following entry.
Looks there should not be any log rotation issue as file name is "*.log"

I installed Ubuntu 16.04 Alpha - the crash is gone, but the aspect ratio
is still wrong when Totem is launched on a rotated screen (it's fine if

does not move anymore (there is no noise whatsoever from the scanner),
and the scan output is pitch black.

python version to default to python 3.5. Otherwise it might be easier to
