Hi,
I've got the same bug with 14.04 and nvidia cuda drivers

cuda is not working then.

Is there any solution for that driver too?

[Bug 1532607] Re: Phone not usable while a call comes in - followed by "restart"

2016-02-08 Thread Daniel van Vugt
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1506358 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1506358

BTW, you won't get a crash report either. Because although it starts out
as a serious-sounding C++ exception, libmirclient converts that into a
SIGHUP for consumption by C clients. And SIGHUP's default action is to
terminate without dumping core.

Normally SIGHUP is the right answer, because most such exceptions are
just "the server disconnected us or died". So we do want the client to
die (or catch the signal), and to not bother us with a core dump.

However bug 1506358 is a special unusual case where Mir has accidentally
mapped a serious exception indicating a programming error into a non-
serious SIGHUP. We need to learn to tell the difference between "normal"
(server died and disconnected) and abnormal (server's still running but
libmirclient is broken) exceptions...

2016-02-08 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Naively I would like to know; if there are "no new buffers" and if
that's a blocker, then why is the client not just waiting for new
buffers? Dying instead seems like an overreaction.

Re: [Bug 1542951] [NEW] Beep not working with 'beep' or 'ping -a'.

2016-02-08 Thread Rhonda D'Vine
Hey,

* william estrada  [2016-02-07 23:46:57 CET]:
> beep command runs with no output.

 It is rather a matter of your soundcard and how it is configured to
pick up the pcskr events than an issue of beep that it doesn't work.
You can try "sudo modprobe pcspkr" and try beep again afterwards if it
issues a beep. The module is blacklisted for several releases already
because the soundcard is supposed to pick those events up. Seemingly
not all do though.

> ping -a does not produce sound

 Seems to be the same issue, but even when beep works, this might be
something your terminal blocks additionally, so you should watch out for
that then once you got beep working for you.

 So long!
Rhonda

[Bug 1543179] [NEW] image 242 no audio bt devices connect

2016-02-08 Thread Dave Morley
Public bug reported:

STEPS:
1. Flash the latest daily rc-proposed image to a phone
2. Connect a bluetooth headset to the phone
3. Connect a speaker to the phone.

EXPECTED:
I expect the devices to connect and play audio

ACTUAL:
Speakers just connect and instantly disconnect

Headsets don't get trusted and disconnect instantly, Once you trust it
and then turn the headset off and back on again it connect can accept
calls but the audio from both the mic and earpiece don't function.

[Bug 1543173] Re: Please update Scribus to 1.4.6

2016-02-08 Thread COLABORATI
Anything that enables us to use Scribus 1.4.6 is very welcome, thanks!
16.04 is on our watchlist, but for a classroom situation that starts before
2016-04 we would like to stay on 14.04 to avoid massive update flooding...
Thanks again for making it possible!
Have a nice day!

then 'findutils' has been upgraded, and try to remove everything related
to python3.4, but fails to do it cleanly itself.

This happens in 16.04 LTS dailyimage (2016-02-08).

My /etc/modules:

# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

[Bug 1543185] [NEW] Malformed query causing timeouts due to ignored upstream queries

2016-02-08 Thread Paul Gotch
Public bug reported:

In some situations dnsmasq makes malformed upstream queries resulting in
servfail being returned after the 5s timeout built in to dnsmask.

For example asking for

foo

with athing.bar.com and bar.com in the search path and two servers
dns1.bar.com and dns1.bar.com results in

System asks both dns1 and dns2 about:
   foo.athing.bar.com => immediate NXDomain from both;
asks  dns1 about:
  foo.  => Servfail;
asks both about:
 foo. with what tcpdump transcribes as '[b2&3=0x182] A? => no
response from either [5 sec timeout];
retries:
 simple "A? foo." query to both, immediate Servfail from both

The query giving the time out appear to be malformed and the upstream
servers are completely ignoring it leading to the time out.

[Bug 1542741] Re: stress-ng: numa stressor may be unreliable on some systems

2016-02-08 Thread Colin Ian King
So it seems we're getting -EIO Input/output error because
MPOL_MF_STRICT was specified and an existing page was already on a node
that does not follow the policy; or MPOL_MF_MOVE or
MPOL_MF_MOVE_ALL was specified and the kernel was unable to move all
existing pages in the range.

I'll tweak the test to cater for this condition.

[Bug 1543185] [NEW] Malformed query causing timeouts due to ignored upstream queries

2016-02-08 Thread Paul Gotch
Public bug reported:

In some situations dnsmasq makes malformed upstream queries resulting in
servfail being returned after the 5s timeout built in to dnsmask.

For example asking for

foo

with athing.bar.com and bar.com in the search path and two servers
dns1.bar.com and dns1.bar.com results in

System asks both dns1 and dns2 about:
   foo.athing.bar.com => immediate NXDomain from both;
asks  dns1 about:
  foo.  => Servfail;
asks both about:
 foo. with what tcpdump transcribes as '[b2&3=0x182] A? => no
response from either [5 sec timeout];
retries:
 simple "A? foo." query to both, immediate Servfail from both

The query giving the time out appear to be malformed and the upstream
servers are completely ignoring it leading to the time out.

[Bug 1543170] Re: lxc fails to install

2016-02-08 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs
about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your
bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.
You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1543170/+editstatus and add the
package name in the text box next to the word Package.

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

[Bug 1542854] Re: missing label wrapping in dash preview

This post to the dnsmasq-discuss list:
