After I got past that point, I also got an "Unable to install GRUB in
/dev/sda: Executing 'grub-install /dev/sda' failed. This is a fatal
error." Related? Not sure. Documentation on Ubuntu wiki on how to create
and install to a btrfs hasn't been updated since 12.04

This is quite messy -- *both* the telepathy-qt and telepathy-qt5
packages haven't been updated in a while, the Ubuntu specific diversion
of telepathy-qt5 is now obsolete as Debian's telepathy-qt source package
builds both Qt4 and Qt5 versions, and this does not only affect the
-farstream binary
Removing gconf seems the best option to me, the gconf url-handlers won't
work on any modern DE/apps. The proxy code pulls settings from gsettings
first, so that should be fine also. The other options mentioned would
seem a waste of time for something that will rarely be used.

I wonder if the so called Watchdog Hardware is on my machine at all. I
looked for the conf files in /dev/watchdog and found no such directory.
According to the website:
