[Bug 1493386] Re: IN CAR: SIM2 calls cann not be routed via car audio

2016-05-04 Thread Alfonso Sanchez-Beato
Please recheck after OTA-11 is released. Not sure if all use cases you
mention will be solved, but as a minimum you will be able to start calls
from SIM2 from the car if SIM2 is the preferred slot.

[Bug 1574266] Re: Xorg freeze [drm] stuck on render ring - gpu hanging too fast, banning

2016-05-04 Thread Marcin Sochacki
For me it is 100% reproducible with LibreOffice, especially when one
quits LO uncleanly and then on the next run it opens a dialog asking
about file recovery. Whatever I click in that dialog, LibreOffice will
hang for a while and then the whole X session is restarted.

[Bug 1552398] Re: sgml2html exits 0, even though LinuxDocTools.pm encounters errors

2016-05-04 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package linuxdoc-tools - 0.9.72-1

---
linuxdoc-tools (0.9.72-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream 0.9.72 release. Some changes:
- LinuxDocTools.pm::process_file: Fail if pipe to nsgmls fails
  (LP: #1552398).
- Use a Makefile for final doc build.
- Handle perl 5.22 deprecation of unescaped left brace in regular
  expressions inside fmt_latex2e.pl.
- Upgrade for some deprecated latex2e commands in fmt_latex2e.pl.
- Use generic ${MAKE} in doc/Makedoc.sh and always honour ${PREFIX}.
- Makefile.in: Use ${INSTALL_SCRIPT} to install linuxdoc perl script.
  * debian/{rules,control}:
- Improve hardening of build flags.
- Bump debhelper compat version to 9.
  * debian/control:
- Change versioned Conflicts to Breaks.
- Use encrypted transport protocol for Vcs-* URI.
- Bump Standards-Version. No changes required.

[Bug 124440] Re: [enhancement] Ubuntu needs a way to set mouse scrolling speed

2016-05-04 Thread Tim
Adding a UI element for a few hardware specific issues does not seem
like a good idea, especially when I can guarantee upstream won't take
those patches. Likely they can be fixed for the specific devices by udev
rules or similar.

[Bug 1572876] Re: After Samba upgrade can't access unpassworded windows share

2016-05-04 Thread greg
wow. from gui, when authentication window pop's up initially there is set user
name from my ubuntu account and domain , but because there is no password set
for share on WIn 7, i did't enter any password, just hit enter, and has no
access, window continue pop's up, i've tried different user name (guest, Гость)
still no luck, but when i enter my UBUNTU account username and PASSWORD i've
got an access !!
so problem partially fixed, but this behaviour is not obvious
why i should enter my local ubuntu account credentials to access remote
unprotected share

[Bug 1578505] Re: Raspberry Pi 3 support

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flash-kernel/+bug/1578505/+attachment/4656132/+files/flash-kernel-3.0~rc.4ubuntu63.debdiff

** Description changed:

- Debdiff to follow.
-
Note that this makes a few assumptions:

  1) Will not work as-is; updated u-boot and linux-firmware-raspi2 will
also be required. I'm testing with u-boot HEAD and raspberrypi/firmware
  HEAD. Details at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/RaspberryPi/RaspberryPi3

  2) For some reason, u-boot mkenvimage creates a uboot.env using the RPi2
config which u-boot just doesn't read, citing a CRC error. This occurs
even when using mkenvimage from HEAD. I'm still trying to determine if
  it's a bug with u-boot, but boot.scr works fine. I've translated the
uboot.env to its equivalent boot.scr script and it works fine, so I
don't see why we can't just use boot.scr on the RPi3. (saveenv within
the u-boot shell writes a uboot.env which it can subsequently re-read,
  interestingly.)

  3) The all.db entry, minus the move to boot.scr, is based on the RPi2
entry above, right down to the "XXX".

[Bug 1546641] Re: unity-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in up_exported_daemon_get_lid_is_closed()

2016-05-04 Thread Jeromie Rand
After trying to launch upowerd manually, I found that two packages were
missing: libusbmuxd2 and libplist2. These are no longer in the Wily
repository. I found and installed both libraries and my problems with
upower and unity-settings-daemon were fixed. Fonts look correct, media
keys are working, and the kernel log no longer has a upowerd segfault
error.

[Bug 633068] Re: sysinfo crashes on startup

I just installed 16.04 as an upgrade from 15.10.

sysinfo was not installed after the upgrade (I don't know if it was
installed before the upgrade). Installed using apt-get

throws an exception:

[Bug 1552304] Re: screen flicker on Dell XPS 13 9350 after kernel upgrade

2016-05-04 Thread Roberto Burgos
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1554613 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1554613

I just installed v4.6-rc6-wily and the flickering seems to have stopped,
but I believe it is still too early to tell.

For the record, after I upgraded to 16.04 I was having suspend issues
where closing the laptop lid did not suspend the machine. I tried a
number of kernels until I settled with 4.5.2, but that's when the
flickering problem started. It sort of felt like it only happened when
the laptop was running on batteries and discharging, and running on
power and charging with a battery percentage of less than 100%.

+ * Remove ppa:ci-train-ppa-service/stable-phone-overlay from your system to
completely solve the problem; or
+ * Don't use Unity8 -- other Mir servers will work after you remove package
mir-graphics-drivers-android9:amd64 which is their last remaining dependency on

[Bug 1578475] Re: An OpenPower node within an Ubuntu Openstack HA cluster has it's base ext4 filesystem corrupted

2016-05-04 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs
about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your
bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.
You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1578475/+editstatus and add the

[Bug 1563155] Re: No Application Data Found

2016-05-04 Thread Matthias Klumpp
This is not really critical: It only affects a few users, does not cause data
loss, and has an easy workaround.
Would still be useful to find out why this happens...
@tartley: Did you run `apt update` previously, without gnome-software showing
apps? Do you maybe have repositories which are inadequately signed installed
(e.g. Google Talk)?

[Bug 998285] Re: Tapping alt-tab switches between windows of the same application sometimes

2016-05-04 Thread Devon
I agree this is quite annoying and unintuitive. But from what I'm seeing
in 16.04, there is no more alt-` by default and the action is back to MS
Windows with a simple Alt-tab behaviour which switches between the two
last used windows of any app. Then at some point Ubuntu expanded upon
that to have alt-tab switch between last used apps and alt-` to switch
between last used windows within an app. But now it seems they have
decided to backtrack to simplicity causing users to have to yet again
re-condition their behaviour which is really frustrating.

There really should be an option for either behaviour. I can't see any
options to change this behaviour in the tweak tool or unity plugin in
CompizConfigc (ccsm). There should be a third entry in the windows
switching shortcuts as "Flip through applications in the switcher" then
people can pick to assign alt-tab to that one or the default "start
switcher".
