[Bug 1585471] [NEW] libftdi-based Altera USB Blasters not supported
Public bug reported: The Ubuntu package of OpenOCD does not depend on libftdi and was not built with --enable-usb_blaster_libftdi. This means it does not support some types of Altera USB Blasters. [Bug 1584314] Re: Togo keyboard layout / compose keys
Hi Gunnar, the issue was that in some cases, typing the Greek key for accent (tonos, the key is ";"), and then after releasing it, typing "α", resulted in two separate characters, i.e. ;+α=´α instead of the correct ;+α=ά At first I thought this was because of ibus, because I was seeing the issue only on setups where ibus was installed. But later on I realized that something, maybe /usr/bin/gnome-language-selector, but possibly something else too, was creating a ~/.xinputrc file: # im-config(8) generated on Wed, 25 May 2016 07:25:38 +0300 run_im xim # im-config signature: 5f2367a738e8f9717ddbb719455f7930 - So when that file was present, even when ibus was not installed, I was still having the tonos issue. After running `rm ~/.xinputrc` and logging in again, the issue was gone. Btw note that opening gnome-language-selector and selecting "None" creates that file and causes the issue again!!! So we try to never open gnome-language-selector. That's all I know about the issue; I found out that Ubuntu Mate comes without ibus/fcitx installed, so we've switched to using that one, where the Xorg system-wide keyboard defaults are respected and remain unmodified after login and everything works flawlessly! :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1584314 Title: Togo keyboard layout / compose keys To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/1584314/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1585434] Re: ecryptfs_decrypt_page: Error attempting to read lower page; rc = [-4]
I think it is possibly caused by steam. I can recreate the issue, cause the lines to show in dmesg. By opening up Steam, load a game, then quit the game, and then quit steam. Then the new error lines will be there. [Bug 1582471] Re: Add focus/unfocus event passing for Xmir non-rootless mode
This is correct behaviour. The X server window loses focus, not the X app inside it. Your app would lose focus correctly if Unity8 used Xmir properly with -rootless. [Bug 1247221] Re: Nautilus doesn't remember setting for showing hidden files correctly when org.gtk.Settings.FileChooser show-hidden is true
How to reproduce the bug: 1. Open Nautilus: Everything normal, hidden files are hidden. 2. In Nautilus press CTRL + H: Hidden files are shown. 3. Close Nautilus and open again: hidden files are back hidden. 4. Open Gedit; 5. In gedit try to open file. In the file chooser dialog, press ctrl + h. Hidden files will be shown, to be choosen. Close Gedit without choosing a file. 6. Open nautilus. Hidden files are shown again. Resume: when showing hidden files in the file chooser dialog, this preference sticks when re-opening nautilus. [Bug 1574079] Re: USB audio device is not recognized after startup in 16.04
When is this fix actually going to be present in vanilla Ubuntu 16.04? I have been using the "sudo killall fwupd" method to get audio working but it would be nice to not have to do that everytime I login or update software or resume from sleep. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574079 Title: USB audio device is not recognized after startup in 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1574079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1577760] Re: Screen Display 'Apply' fails
Ah, I think I just 'got' what you were suggesting. If I move the /usr/local/lib/libimobiledevice* away, and then look at the ldd output from upowerd, I see that it indeed shows it linked to libusbmuxd.so.4, rather than .2. [~]$ ldd -r /usr/lib/upower/upowerd | grep usbmuxd libusbmuxd.so.4 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libusbmuxd.so.4 (0x7f35bc721000) So, yes, that /usr/local/lib/ library was causing a dependency on the old version of the libusbmuxd library. Following that line of thinking, I also removed the workaround and, yes: [~] gnome-settings-daemon --replace still runs. If I then reboot, all works as planned (command line and the Apply button itself). I think you're right. upowerd was being linked to /usr/local/lib/libimobiledevice.so.6 instead of /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libimobiledevice.so.6, and the former was linked to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libusbmuxd.so.2, instead of /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libusbmuxd.so.4. So, why is upowerd getting linked to /usr/local/lib/libimobiledevice.so.6 in the first place? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577760 Title: Screen Display 'Apply' fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upower/+bug/1577760/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
