[Bug 1589194] [NEW] Browser freezes
Public bug reported: I keep getting instances of the browser becoming unresponsive. [Bug 1545296] Re: xpra crashes when talking to same version on trusty
Just out of curiousity, how did you manage to install xenial xpra on trusty? Did you recompile from source? Trusty cannot satisfy the runtime dependencies of the xenial xpra and quite likely you'd run into dependency trouble for the compile-time dependencies as well. I wouldn't be surprised you screwed up your system pretty well with the tinkering and thus the pain with xpra might be self-inflicted. I have only a trusty and jessie machines and those can talk to each other fine, FWIW. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545296 Title: xpra crashes when talking to same version on trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xpra/+bug/1545296/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1568573] Re: [Lenovo Thinkpad T460] Ultra Dock external displays not detected after suspend/resume cycle
The 4.7-rc1 kernel was not bootable on my system. However, I have been testing with 4.6.0-996-generic #201605082201 from drm-next and the behavior is better. With the drm-next kernel, I am able to dock/undock the laptop multiple times without a freeze and the displays are recognized and can be setup. The configured display layout is applied successfully on docking, unlike with the 4.4.0-22 kernel. I do have one persistent issue with the drm-next kernel, I have to change to a VT and back to get display output after docking - but I don't think its related to this issue. This intel stuff sure seems like a mess. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568573 Title: [Lenovo Thinkpad T460] Ultra Dock external displays not detected after suspend/resume cycle To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1568573/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It did indeed fix the problem I was seeing in this bug report. However, I started having another less frequent issue shortly after (also disconnects, but completely different errors). [Bug 1569831] Re: Laptop does not resume after suspend (blackscreen).
Sorry for the lag here. I am about to kill this machine (not really but some version of Linux needs to work). 1. It occurs when resuming from suspend. They keyboard lights up, and then fades. To me it looks like the Wireless driver hinders the graphical dirver to start up. Note I have tried with both the NVIDIA card / driver and the native graphic driver with no change in outcome. The only thing that makes a difference is uninstalling the wireless driver. 2. I have tried the following methods: shutting the lid and clicking the GUI suspend. 3. Tried resuming with opening lid and pressing the power button. No difference. 4. [Bug 1288182] Re: Cyrillic not displayed in the input field
I tested with this form: http://archive.mid.ru//bul_ns_en.nsf/uvedomlenie.pdf Foxit Reader for Linux works fine, no need to use Wine So does google-chrome, it even edits the forms. Firefox fails, but prints a ? for every cyrillic letter Im quite sure that this problem can be solved with some font knowlegde. Somehow it must be possible to find ut which Cyrillic font is used in the document, and then make some kind of font substitution in the system. But weel, I found two working alternatives, so I do not need to fill in these documents by hand this summer :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1288182 Title: Cyrillic not displayed in the input field To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evince/+bug/1288182/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Ok. I'll update the BIOS on monday; I don't have a CD-R handy to flash the BIOS with. This is a rare enough issue (every couple of weeks I guess?) that I guess I'll update the BIOS and check back here in maybe 60 days if it hasn't happened again. [Bug 1577364] Re: Screen flickers after upgrade to 16.04 from 15.10 on Dell XPS13 9350
sohey, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 4.4 to 4.6-rc6 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed immediately by the first good one. Once this good commit has been identified, it may be reviewed for backporting. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#How_do_I_reverse_bisect_the_upstream_kernel.3F ?
