This feature is still present in Xubuntu 16.04. Of course, it is not

Mouse cursor does not flicker with MATEs Marco window manager on 1st and

I have tested this by creating 2 versions of a package where the first
creates the configuration file /etc/test/test1.conf (test1.deb) and the
second creates the configuration file /etc/test/test2.conf (test2.deb).
On installing test1.deb and then test2.deb only the file
/etc/test/test2.conf

My branch updating the default wallpaper [1] makes this a little better.
With that MP, the only blurry wallpapers are portrait-wallpapers-on-a
-landscape-screen (i.e. it fixes the most common case: landscape-
wallpapers).
The proper fix is a little tricky. We can either (A) load a lot more of

SSH, reboot without the WORKAROUND, and then capture the logs. I'm not

pam). The first time works great; I enter my password and then a small
banner pops up saying "Authentication Code". But say I enter

Ok, this time, I have the live DVD booted with gfxpayload=text, "quiet
splash" not specified, and "nomodeset" *not* specified. Once the
optical drive stopped making noise, I pressed Ctrl-ALt-F1 and my monitor
immediately got a signal. I then pressed Ctrl-Alt-F7 and got to the
desktop.

I can confirm the above reports as well as the description in #1595822.
OpenVPN is started too early in the boot process. Cloud-Init will default to
configure tun0 instead of the guests main network
