[Bug 1568604] Re: Mouse cursor lost when unlocking with Intel graphics
To me, what it seems to be the problem, is that Lock Screens, and Login systems, such as GDM, or LightDM, or Pantheon's is utilizing VTs to display Login, and switch between users / lock screen and log back in. Which seems to be solved by resetting the Virtual Terminal, either through a chvt between 1 and 7, or bringing up / having a terminal open, and issuing some command that causes a line reset to which the Mouse Cursor is allowed to be displayed again. That's what it seems to me anyways. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568604 Title: Mouse cursor lost when unlocking with Intel graphics To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/1568604/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1568604] Re: Mouse cursor lost when unlocking with Intel graphics
I'm running 16.04 on a HP envy 17t I only have the problem if I lock the screen, then hit switch user after that logging back in will cause mouse to disappear. [Bug 1600555] [NEW] Postfix Admin depends strictly on pg-client or mysql-client with no option for mariadb-client
Public bug reported: The dependencies on the Postfix Admin package should be updated to require postgresql-client OR mysql-client OR mariadb-client. Currently the package requires either postgresql-client OR mysql-client. As mariadb-client is a drop-in replacement there is no reason to require mysql (also a single system cannot have both mariadb and mysql, use of one precludes use of the other). ** Affects: postfixadmin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: apt (Ubuntu) => postfixadmin (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1600555 Title: Postfix Admin depends strictly on pg-client or mysql-client with no option for mariadb-client To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfixadmin/+bug/1600555/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1477855] Re: Add alternative shutter methods
This function should not be label as a wish, it should already be integrated. It has been a part of iOS since forever (don't know about Android) and it is extremely useful. [Bug 1587913] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 Two finger scrolling/multitouch not working
Similar issue on an Asus UX501VW, using ubuntu 16.04 kernel 4.6.3. Touchpad is detected as "FTE1001:00 0B05:0101" (FocalTech maybe?) basic pointing capabilities work, but its not detected as a touchpad, no synaptycs drivers loaded, no multitouch gestures, no palm rejection (which is driving me crazy). For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. Also, you don't have to create a new bug report. Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible: 1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command (not perform an apport-collect): sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date 2) Please make a comment specifically advising on if there was an improvement or not. 3) Please mark this report Status Confirmed. Thank you so much for following up! :) Unfortunately, the client needed to have a computer so I no longer have any access to the machine. [Bug 1598295] Re: $GTK_IM_MODULE ignored after upgrade
Okay, so — in short — the problem was that the command `/usr/lib/x86_64 -linux-gnu/libgtk-3-0/gtk-query-immodules-3.0 --update-cache` wasn't run upon distro upgrade. Actually, I'm not sure if it's a distro bug or not, because in my case the distro-upgrade came not quite fine. I was having a PPA with latest GCC, which I didn't purge — that looks right, why would I care if I'm using a binary distro anyway? However, after upgrade Xorg didn't even start; long story short — libstdc++, for some reason, didn't have some function which some apps were using. Reinstalling to vanilla libstdc++ solved the problem. I did even see a bug about it somewhere, but can't find it. But I can assume that some apps for distro upgrade failed to run because of the library — as the bug with $GTK_IM_MODULE not the only problem I encountered here. I'm seeing things like missing tray icons, ignored preview options in Dolphin, crashing vlc, and more. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1598295 Title: $GTK_IM_MODULE ignored after upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/1598295/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1492623] Re: Revision doesn't match upstream v2.0.2
Thanks, Actually, I fixed it ;) Tracking bugs by revision number works very well for upstream, and if that interferes with Debian packaging then they would see that as Debian's problem. In any case, I was given commit access to the Debian repository recently, and made the fix in such a way that the revision will be set automatically each time new upstream code gets imported via uscan, so there is no chance of somebody forgetting to do it. Unfortunately I haven't been given access to the Debian archive so I can't upload the package into Debian, but hopefully the actual maintainer will get around to doing it soon.
