[Bug 109376] Re: Width of the vertical preview pane isn't remembered
Hi to everyone, and sorry about my english. I have ubuntu 16.04 and evolution 3.18.5.2, and the preview pane in classic or vertical view, is really small, you can't even see the complete header with that size!!, and there's no option to resize any section of evolution. The fix that i found is go through dconf-editor in this path -> org -> gnome -> evolution -> mail .Here's all the options of the program so , as i wanted the vertical view, i change the hpaned-size parameter and hpaned-size-sub parameter to the value 750, with a resolution of 1920x768 and font size 15 to mails, its see pretty fine. [Bug 1636701] [NEW] Removing kernel package triggers DKMS build
Public bug reported: I'm filing this against dkms 2.2.0.3-2ubuntu11.2 in Ubuntu Xenial, although the issue may come down to a different package. I issued an "apt-get --purge autoremove" command to clear out some old kernel packages, and the command took several minutes to complete due to kernel module builds taking place during the process. To Fred, Looking at you Xlog I seen the same problem as in mine [36.472] (II) modeset(0): Output VGA-1 has no monitor section [46.854] (II) modeset(0): Output SVIDEO-1 has no monitor section Almost 10 seconds gone there and: [46.876] (II) modeset(0): EDID for output VGA-1 [57.393] (II) modeset(0): EDID for output SVIDEO-1 another 11 there. Lastly: [ 126.003] (II) modeset(0): Modeline "1280x1024"x0.0 108.00 1280 1328 1440 1688 1024 1025 1028 1066 +hsync +vsync (64.0 kHz e) Over two minutes hammering away on your video card. All the time is eaten up modesetting and polling outputs, when the DRM module was supposed to have done that. I took up the suggestion somebody mentioned of using the Ubuntu test kernels and I got up to 4.5.6 with boots looking good. I also started to learn git and downloaded the test kernel repository. I see that there is a lot going on with drm/i915 drivers, in an attempt to move higher level functions away from Xorg ,and a lot of commits (changes) devoted to the same area and problems (fix one thing, break two more). Maybe a one size fits all driver (9 generations), is too much. Your first time stamp is 36.282 which is when the system is booted and going into user-mode. Mine is similar using 4.5.6. You can use 'systemd- analyze' to see your boot times. The call traces in your kernel log don't seem to eat much time at all, but obviously something is afoot. BTW I tried the 4.9.0-rc1 kernel and the thing stop at the initramfs shell, with alot of "error -22" messages. I think maybe they're heading in the wrong direction. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1631719 Title: Intel GMA965 DRM hanging on yakkety To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1631719/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1636678] [NEW] ethernet -> bond -> 802.1q vlan -> dhcp causes race condition, hangs on boot
Public bug reported: I have two ethernet interfaces (eno1, eno2) bonded to form a bond0 interface I then split this interface into 802.1q vlan interfaces bond0.2 and bond0.5 bond0.2 receives a static IP bond0.5 receives its IP via DHCP During boot up, it seems that bond0 starts and bond0.2 and bond0.5 start. bond0.5 starts dhclient as expected. However, this all happens whilst eno1 and eno2 are starting and the ifenslave scripts believe bond0 is blocked so they hang. The net result is dhclient starts before eno1,eno2 are attached to the bond0 interface, therefore dhclient can't talk to the network, so it never finishes, so eno1,eno2 are never unblocked and never added. Here's my basic config from /etc/network/interfaces: auto lo eno1 eno2 bond0 bond0.2 bond0.5 iface eno1 inet manual bond-master bond0 iface eno2 inet manual bond-master bond0 iface bond0 inet manual bond-slaves eno1 eno2 bond-mode 4 bond-lacp-rate 1 bond-miimon 100 bond-updelay200 bond-downdelay 200 iface bond0.2 inet manual vlan-raw-device bond0 address 192.168.5.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 iface bond0.5 inet dhcp vlan-raw-device bond0 On boot, I can see ifup is called for all interfaces but soon after, the system hangs and I'm presented with a 5minute 4 second timeout countdown. After this, the network service has failed and I'm left with a partially configured network (the dhcp interface is never configured) What should happen is ifup should start eno1, eno2 and bond0 THEN bond0.2 and bond0.5 should be started... or... eno1 and eno2 should not be blocked and added to bond0 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: ifenslave 2.7ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-45.66-generic 4.4.21 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-45-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Oct 26 03:46:40 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-10-24 (1 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Server 16.04.1 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20160719) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: ifenslave UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ifenslave (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1636678 Title: ethernet -> bond -> 802.1q vlan -> dhcp causes race condition, hangs on boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ifenslave/+bug/1636678/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1553328] Re: Mir crashes on nouveau (nv50) in pushbuf_kref() especially with multiple monitors
I guess even with a single display, multi-threaded apps like the web browser could still trigger this nouveau crash or similar by rendering from multiple threads. There's a comment here suggesting the same crash might also happen in some processes like webbrowser-app even under Unity7: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8-desktop-session/+bug/1595238/comments/15 which further supports the theory. Based on upstream's comment https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92438#c39 I would expect nouveau to continue to crash under both multi-monitor and other multi- threaded rendering conditions (like webbrowser-app?). ** Summary changed: - Mir crashes on nouveau (nv50) in pushbuf_kref() especially with multiple monitors + Mir/Unity8 crashes on nouveau (nv50) in pushbuf_kref() especially with multiple monitors -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1553328 Title: Mir/Unity8 crashes on nouveau (nv50) in pushbuf_kref() especially with multiple monitors or opening the web browser app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1553328/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
