I've got the exact same problem, and the cause is exactly the same as
well -- It happens because of symlinks from /usr/share/fonts to a
different partition.
symlinking fonts to a different partition is quite harmless in my view,
and Pango should not treat them any differently. Thus it is a bug

formatted a new drive with ext4 under Ubuntu 16.10 and added it to the
fstab of my precise and trusty installations.

I wrote a small initramfs script to snapshot the zpool when booting off
zfs in Ubuntu. As the pool is not actively used at that moment, it is in
the perfect consistent state to take snapshots. Perhaps this is

I've read (but I do not remember where) that Lenovo had the same problem
with the fans on some models with 6700HQ CPU, but they released BIOS
update which resolved this problem, so it seems like a problem of
ACPI/BIOS (maybe I am just wrong and the problem is really somewhere

When using nvidia drivers with bumblebee - bumblebee stops working after
suspend, freezes the system for a while when trying to use it. When
using nouveau (tested without bumblebee) - system completely
