Anyways, xen can apparently support efi-booting as a efi executable
directly, but for some reason ubuntu doesn't ship the "xen.efi" (see
https://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Xen_EFI)?
While I understand that fixing this is kind of out of the scope of the
ubuntu packager

This missing piece (if any) in Mir is a 'mir_output_set_scale_factor'
function, to match the existing 'mir_output_get_scale_factor'.
Although Unity8 is a server so might be able to skip that requirement
and just modify the server structure directly.

The commands seem to work but when the user moves the second mouse, it
instantly crashes.

I use Ubuntu Studio 16.04 with XFCE4 4.12 and I had that problem too,
but exploring the "Extend to the right" option and then returning to
"Displays", "Mirror Displays" option is already accessible.
Unfortunately, unplugging the another monitor and plugging it again, may
recquire select first
