[Bug 1658408] [NEW] XInput property "Device Accel Constant Deceleration" applied inconsistently, if at all
Public bug reported: Changing this value will more often than not have zero effect on the cursor's behavior. Under Gnome, if I disable and re-enable the device afterwards it will usually take effect, but running xset m will revert it to its original behavior; under OpenBox, nothing I've tried has worked. In all cases, xinput list-props reflects the value that was attempted to be set; it simply isn't applied. [Bug 1658407] [NEW] "Ubuntu modification" extension default package disables Multiprocess in Firefox
Public bug reported: Firefox has started making the default state to Multiprocess starting with Firefox 48. Right now, at least half the Firefox users have Multiprocess enabled by default and the performance and stability benefits are quite substantial. More about Multiprocess here - https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/multiprocess The Ubufox extension that comes installed by default in Ubuntu's Firefox disables Multiprocess, due it not being compatible with it (check attachment). This leads to all Ubuntu users not benefiting from the performance benefits of Firefox multiprocess architecture and also the ever increasing benefits as they keep improving it. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubufox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: packaging ** Attachment added: "Ubufox extension disables Firefox Multiprocess" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1658407/+attachment/4807405/+files/Multiprocess-firefox-disabled.png ** Also affects: ubufox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1658407 Title: "Ubuntu modification" extension default package disables Multiprocess in Firefox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1658407/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1574125] Re: [Lenovo G50-70] suspend not working after upgrade
Ok Acer E5-573-38T2 Broadwell i3-5005u ubuntu 16.04.1/16.10 going freeze and black screen after suspend, fan still spins, the power light is on and the battery is trained. This problem only when plug in, on battery or when charged works fine. For me works this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Acer_Aspire_E5-573 "suspending to RAM (S3 Sleep state) and hibernating to disk don't work when running on AC power. After debugging with https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/power/basic-pm-debugging.txt culprit revealed to be the non-boot online cpus." Create file: $ sudo nano /lib/systemd/system-sleep/sleepcpu put that script and save: #!/bin/bash case "$1" in pre) for c in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/online; do echo 0 >$c; done ;; post) for c in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/online; do echo 1 >$c; done ;; esac Save it, and: $ sudo chmod +x /lib/systemd/system-sleep/sleepcpu After that going to suspend perfect, but when wake up sometimes freeze. If you have this, make another script. $ sudo nano /lib/systemd/system-sleep/network Put script: !#/bin/bash case "$1" in post) sudo service network-manager restart ;; esac Save and $ sudo chmod +x /lib/systemd/system-sleep/network After that suspend on my acer work perfect, testing 20/20 all works. [Bug 1320989] Re: black screen after longer screen lock
I confirm that this problem affects me too. I have not been able to reproduce it at my will, but it recurs manytimes. 1. Black screen upon login after a long screen lock period (2-3 hours or more). 2. Black screen upon removal of second monitor (from either VGA or HDMI port). 3. Issue more likely to occur when switching from a browser tab with flash or youtube running. Sometimes from presentation screen. Hardware: Lenovo B40-80 (intel i3-5005, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Broadwell-U Integrated graphics controller) Software: Elementary 0.4, using processor microcode firmware for intel CPUs (proprietary). This problem persisted with the default driver too. The screen sometimes rapidly flickered (falsely rendering alternate screens or white screens for few milliseconds). With a change in graphics driver also, this issue has remained. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1320989 Title: black screen after longer screen lock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/1320989/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1658378] [NEW] red progress line disappears on some zoom levels.
Public bug reported: After editing the following project for awhile, on some zooms(Basically anything lower than 12) the red line disappears. I can play the video, and it acts as if it's still there, keeping position in some place, but there is no red line displayed in the bottom portion of the window. Zooming out allows you to see roughly where you are...but if you want to get some scene cut in the right place it's kind of hard to get your timing right when you can't see what you're doing with the red progress line. (Also, it seems like when you zoom in you can only see the top 3 tracks, but I'm not sure if this is a feature or not.) 2 screenshots attached, 1 with and 1 without at different zoom levels. New projects are not affected, but if I can close openshot, open the .osp project file in question that causes this, the red line goes missing again. .osp project attached. openshot: Installed: 1.4.3-1.2 Candidate: 1.4.3-1.2 ubuntu: 16.10 yakkety ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.10 Package: openshot 1.4.3-1.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.8.0-32.34-generic 4.8.11 Uname: Linux 4.8.0-32-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.3-0ubuntu8.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Sat Jan 21 19:17:46 2017 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-07-09 (927 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" - Alpha amd64 (20140708) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: openshot UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to yakkety on 2016-10-16 (97 days ago) ** Affects: openshot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug yakkety ** Attachment added: "osp that causes this." https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1658378/+attachment/4807286/+files/internet-martial-law-vid1.osp -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1658378 Title: red progress line disappears on some zoom levels. [Bug 1414124] Re: install reports unable to install grub to /dev/sdb
I have tried installing all versions thru 17.04 to sdb and to sdb's ESP. Every one overwrote my main working installs /EFI/ubuntu folder in sda. I quickly learned to back that folder up, so I could reset main working install as default boot. Same happens when I do a full install to flash drive, it overwrites my main working installs /EFI/ubuntu on sda. But if flash drive grub/shim also needs to be /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi. And this bug report covers that, although related. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1173457 and since Debian grub related https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=746662 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #746662 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=746662 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1414124 Title: install reports unable to install grub to /dev/sdb To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1414124/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
