[Bug 1666125] [NEW] Suspend to RAM with active bluetooth network connection causes problems

2017-02-19 Thread PeterPall
Public bug reported:

If I close my coputer while it is connected to my phone's network via bluetooth
after resuming all of the following might happen
 - Everything works right and i can re-connect to my bluetooth network using
the network-manager-gnome icon
 - Bluetooth network can still be used but network-manager seems to forget
about my WiFi
 - Bluetooth network can still be used and network-manager offers to connect to
the WiFi stations that were there before suspending. But it doesn't scan for
new ones
 - Network works. But /etc/resolv.conf points to 127.0.0.0 and hosts cannot be
resolved until I replace this number by a working nameserver
 - Network works. But dnsmasq no more reacts
 - Network no more works including my loopback network => even a poweroff
command cannot shut down my computer.

If any problems exist a sudo service network-manager restart normally
breaks my loopback network. No idea why.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.04
Package: network-manager 1.4.4-1ubuntu2
Uname: Linux 4.10.0-041000-generic x86_64

Yes, that is correct.
Sorry for the inconvenient delay due to the chain SRUs.
But at least the bigger ones we need to unbundle to make sure not making
things worse for end-users when SRU'ing.

[Bug 1587886] Re: strongswan ipsec status issue with apparmor

2017-02-19 Thread ChristianEhrhardt
Ok,
I also tested the yakkety case as described in comment #36 - that is really a
good way to reproduce with a less complex setup.
ALso thank you all for your participation in testing with the more complex
cases.

So for Xenial:
- VPN can be established with the fix
- ipsec status fixed
- Apparmor DENIES fixed
Fo Yakkety
- l2tp case apparmor DENIES fixed (connection itself sometimes worked before)
- ipsec status fixed

And along that no general regression found.
That said setting verification-done.

[Bug 1597267] Re: ThinkPad X260 connecting external DisplayPort hangs system

2017-02-19 Thread Tero Marttila
Current xenial linux-image-4.4.0-62-generic remains broken, with dmesg
WARNs on CRTC clocks and then system hangs when switching user sessions
(which invokes some gnome-session xrandr setup). Lost the exact dmesg on
the system hang.

Current mainline 4.8.x (4.8.17-040817-generic) continues to behave
nicely, although there's occasionally some delays when docking/undocking
before the xrandr configuration updates.

The 4.8 kernel is also included in the 16.04.02 HWE release, and a quick
test with linux-image-4.8.0-36-generic seems to also behave reasonably
well. I would tentatively consider this issue fixed in 16.04.02,
although I still need to test with xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04.

Will also test with the newest mainline 4.10 release when I have the
chance.

[Bug 1530683] Re: unity tweak tool do not keep changes

2017-02-19 Thread J Phani Mahesh
Thanks. Since unity tweak tool is simply a frontend for manipulating
controls exposed by unity, I'm marking this for Unity.

If the settings take effect even temporarily they are expected to
persist, unless the user config is cleared from their `$HOME` or there
is some bug in gsettings handling somewhere.

** Also affects: unity (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

[Bug 1666109] [NEW] failed to attach more than 3 uas devices on 16.04 LTS HWE kernel

2017-02-19 Thread Yasuaki Taniguchi
Public bug reported:

1) Ubuntu release
  Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS x86_64 desktop
2) package name
linux-generic-hwe-16.04 (4.8.0.36.8)

3) Expected behavior
When I attached more than 3 uas devices, all uas devices would be probed as
SCSI disks.

4) What happened instead
The third device failed to be attached, and the first and second devices made
strange behaviors.

5) Additional information
When I used linux-generic (4.4.0.62.65), it was good.
I found this bug on Fedora 25 at first, and I confirmed the same bug exists on
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
