The Universal Flash System (UFS) is the next generation storage standard that 
is to replace eMMC. UFS includes the feature set of eMMC as a subset and 
defines a unique feature set that provides low power consumption, high data 
throughput, low electromagnetic interference and optimization for mass memory 
subsystem efficiency. UFS adopts the latest technology from other industrial 
standards.
UFS 1 and UFS 1.1 are already supported in upstream kernel.
Add the delta features between 1.1 and 2.0.

Since we ...

a) have a workaround by manually adding the entry to the apparmor abstraction 
(or dropping serial if that is an option)
b) having an explicit serial in the guest profile is not the default
c) KVM in LXD is more a "nice to have" solution than something everybody uses 
on a daily base (To drive KVM in LXD applying a certain amount of tricks e.g. 
to the profile is already involved)

... I think for now we can wait on the LXC update.
Please update when you know about the schedule that it might happen on.

Dropping the Kernel Task to invalid as it turns out not to be involved,
and the apparmor task to "Won't Fix" as while being involved there is no
change we want to make there.

requires a kernel trap. uprobes already has a trampoline of dynamically 
generated code mapped into user processes.
With PTWRITE we could generate PTWRITE instructions there that log data items 
requested by the user in the uprobes configuration string.
In theory the same could be also done for kprobes, although it is less critical 
there as kprobes already support fast software logging.

S0ix-states represent the residency in the Intel® SoC idle standby power states.
The S0ix states shut off part of the SoC when they are not in use. The S0ix
states are triggered when specific conditions within the SoC have been achieved,
for example: certain components are in low power states. The SoC consumes the
least amount of power in the deepest (for example, S0i3) state.
GLK S0ix is triggered by two paths:
(1) by system PM, e.g "suspend-to-idle" triggered by pressing the power button
on Android device or command manually triggered on any Linux based distros;
(2) by runtime PM, i.e no system activities with display off.
S0ix should simply work in theory with trigger path (1) if we have the device
drivers ready. On GLK, we require the below PCI device drivers with system PM
support. ACPI device requirements are WIP.

Description:

With USB Type-C the OS needs to be able to switch the USB data role between 
host mode and device mode. This is because USB Type-C connection will select 
the role randomly.
The USB Type-C ports on GLK are controlled via UCSI (USB Type-C System Software 
Interface). We will implement support for UCSI in this task. The UCSI will be 
implemented as a "library" inside kernel. The actual UCSI device on GLK is ACPI 
enumerated device, so we will implement driver for it. This driver will simply 
"register" itself with the library that will do the rest. The "library" 
approach is used because UCSI does not specify the actual bus (I2C, SPI, etc.) 
that is used to interface with the Type-C ports. It only specifies the data 
structures. That means that even though on GLK we have ACPI enumerate device 
for the UCSI interface, on future platforms it may be something else like PCI 
enumerate device.

I'd like to add that I have a Gigabyte AB350m Gaming 3 motherboard along
with a Ryzen 1600 CPU, on the F4 (newest) BIOS.

I have found an workaround, which can be found here:

(Relates to OpenSuSE Tumbleweed but the issue is the same on Ubuntu).
This workaround allows the system to boot, however it is unstable.

If I can supply any information that will be helpful to the developers,
please just let me know and I'll supply what I can!

Yeah I agree. Mir lives on in a new form, and that should be without
PPAs. Thus the archive should be updated if anything Mir-related is
desired on xenial.

The error I get is:

"The file 'file.ovpn' could not be read or does not contain recognized
VPN connection information

Error: Key file contains line 'dev tun' which is not a key-value pair,
group, or comment."

If I edit the file and remove the line "comp-lzo adaptive" from the end
of the file the import is successful.

I tried to run Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 in .ecm file format. When trying
to open, PCSXR crashes. Running from Terminal and trying to open the
game produces the following:

pcsxr: ../libpcsxcore/ix86_64/ix86-64.c:160: MEMADDR_OP: Assertion `!isreg ||

- New keyboard layout changer in Ubuntu 13.10 introduce  old-new bug. Any 
system or application hotkey witch use char (for example: ctrl+alt+t for 
terminal or ctrl+t for new tab in browser) become unfunctional when selected 
non-latin keyboard layout.
- Hotkeys with F1-12, numbers and other non-character buttons works perfectly.
+ Keyboard shortcuts are key combinations like Alt+F (usually opens the
+ File menu) and Ctrl+O (usually opens the File→Open... dialog box).
  
- Window manager hotkeys not affected by this bug. All hotkeys in system
- parameters->keyboard->hotkeys->windows works perfect with any keyboard
- layout.
+ There is an issue with non-latin keyboard layouts that the keys under F or O 
(for Alt+F and Ctrl+O respectively) would correspond to some other character.
+ What should happen then? There is some smart functionality (at least in the 
GTK+ library) that when we press a shortcut, it will try to make Alt+F or 
Ctrl+O work, even if the active keyboard layout is not English.
  
- Workaround for some system hotkeys and two layouts (english and non-
- latin): rebind all hotkeys in your local layout. For example instead of
- ctrl+alt+t use ctrl+alt+τ (greek tau). That hotkey still work with
- english layout.  If you use english and two different non-latin layouts
- this workaround helps only with one of them.

In reviewing the first patch I've found another problem with
mapent_len possibly not being initialized.

Note the order of application of the patch is:
autofs-5.1.2 - use malloc for expanded map location
autofs-5.1.2 - fix offset mount location multiple expansion

and, although they are against current upstream they should apply.
If not then ask and I'll fix them.

I've added initialization of the malloc()ed pmapent variable.
While that wasn't a problem it can be on some architectures.

not work on Unity.

However, the shortcuts for Super+S/W actually work. This means that the
functionality is there to make Super+A/F/M/C/V work as well. See the
screenshot at #329 that demonstrates that Russian is OK for Super+S/W.

It looks like the bug is actually in unity8-desktop-session. It installs
/usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/45-unity8.conf, which sets session-
wrapper=lightdm-unity8-session, which means lightdm-unity8-session is
run in order to start *any* session. lightdm-unity8-session is a shell
script that's also part of unity8-desktop-session, and looking at its
contents, it appears to be buggy because it assumes that any session
that doesn't use X (such as Wayland) is Unity 8 and should run upstart
instead of lightdm-session.

I was able to work around this by creating a file
/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/00-willmo.conf with contents

[Seat:*]
session-wrapper=lightdm-session

This overrides the offending setting in 45-unity8.conf and sets session-
wrapper back to the default, avoiding the Unity 8 assumptions in
lightdm-unity8-session. After rebooting, Wayland sessions now work for
me.
