No, I mean the BT host. On most laptops, it's an USB device.
Can you attach the output of `lsusb -v`?

[Bug 1697339] Re: rpc.gssd performs reverse DNS by default (regardless of -D flag)

2017-06-12 Thread forceps
** Description changed:

  Description: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
  Release: 16.04

  Package: nfs-common 1:1.2.8-9ubuntu12.1.0

This bug affects all active and proposed versions of nfs-common used by
ubuntu (as every version is based on nfs-utils_1.2.8) from trusty to
  artful.

- There is a small error in the code for rpc.gssd that causes it to always
perform reverse DNS when looking up the server name to pass to GSSAPI. This
causes a problem for NFS4 in environments where reverse DNS is correctly
configured. This has been confirmed in Debian and a more recent version of
nfs-utils that appears to have fixed this has been pushed to sid:
+ There is a small error in the code for rpc.gssd that causes it to always

configured or not configurable by the system administrator. This has been
confirmed in Debian and a more recent version of nfs-utils that appears to have
fixed this has been pushed to sid:
  https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=803710

However, I do not know if that version of nfs-utils will make it to
  ubuntu soon. Will it?

If not, the patch to this appears to be rather straightforward.
The error is an '== 1' instead of an '== 0' in two lines of gssd_proc.c that
are evaluated when the -D flag to rpc.gssd is not passed (and thus avoid_dns is
true)

Is there any way to get either 1) the updated version of nfs-utils or 2)
this patch applied to xenial (and, hopefully, other versions of ubuntu)?
Thank you for looking at this!

[Bug 1697586] [NEW] grub-install failed on /sda.

[Bug 1697051] Re: package slurm-client 15.08.7-1build1 failed to install/upgrade: problèmes de dépendances - laissé non configuré

2017-06-12 Thread Steve Beattie
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

[Bug 1697196] Re: package docbook-xsl 1.79.1+dfsg-1 failed to install/upgrade: package docbook-xsl is not ready for configuration cannot configure (current status 'half-installed')

[Bug 1577197] Re: Pulseaudio bluez5-util.c: TryAcquire() failed - Operation Not Authorized

2017-06-12 Thread Daniel van Vugt
OK. This bug is way oversubscribed and is getting confused by too many
people reporting problems that are not actually this bug.

It seems generally people using 17.04 either report this bug is fixed,
or are reporting different bugs.

So consider this one Fix Released for 17.04. I understand 16.04 is still
suffering though, so will nominate xenial for additional future fixes.

Everyone: If you continue to experience problems with the error
"TryAcquire() failed - Operation Not Authorized" then you can comment
here. We know it still happens in 16.04 but are interested to hear if it
can still happen in 17.04. If you experience any problems that are not
"TryAcquire() failed - Operation Not Authorized" then please log a
separate bug...

[Bug 1696031] Re: Bugfixes for hns network driver

2017-06-12 Thread dann frazier
** Description changed:

  [Impact]
The hns driver we're shipping in hwe-z lacks a number of performance
improvements and bug fixes that have since landed upstream prior to v4.12-rc4.

  [Test Case]
+ Use iperf to confirm functionality, and no obvious loss of performance.
+
+ = Before =
+
+ Duplex:
+ $ iperf -c -P 8 -d -t 30
+ 941 Mbits/sec
+ Simplex:
+ $ iperf -c -P 8 -t 30
+ 942 Mbits/sec
+
+ = After =
+ Duplex:
+ $ iperf -c -P 8 -d -t 30
+ 942 Mbits/sec
+ Simplex:
+ $ iperf -c -P 8 -t 30
+ 942 Mbits/sec
+
+
  [Regression Risk]
+ Changes are restricted to the hns driver, which is only used on HiSilicon
SoCs. All changes are clean cherry-picks from upstream, so any regressions will
have upstream support.
