[Bug 1698726] [NEW] Ubuntu 17.04 : Volume notification keeps popping up constantly
Public bug reported: I use ubuntu 17.04 with pulseaudio 1:10.0)lubuntu2 I upgraded to ubuntu 17.04 three days ago and the installation went well, the bug appeared right afterwards. The volume notification pops out on its own and the slider keeps on moving up and down. It sometimes doesn't happen for an hour or two and then starts happening every 30 or 40 seconds. The only way to stop it is to click on the sound indicator and open the sound parameters. Then the slider stops and the notification frame ends up having a normal behavior, gets blurry and disappears after few seconds. The bug appears only on its own : it doesn't behave this way when I myself change the volume with the hotkeys or by clicking. This bug is very similar to the bug #1585084 that would appear on ubuntu 16.04 and was supposingly fixed release (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1585084), except that this is happening on ubuntu 17.04. I tried uninstalling pulseaudio and working only with alsa/qasmixer, and the bug stopped appearing (but qasmixer isn't as comfortable as the embedded pulseaudio indicator). I tried defining the attribute "autospawn" to "no" in the client.config and the daemon.config pulseaudio configuration files. The bug stopped appearing for a while and then came back. It seems more frequent when "autospawn" is set to "yes" though. I tried killing pulseaudio, including at the start of ubuntu, and it doesn't work out : pulseaudio keep on starting and the bug keeps on appearing. [Bug 1663675] Re: [needs-packaging] Please package Peruse
Thank you for your continued work on this package. #3 If you want to use automatic parallel, you need to bump the compat level to 10 in debian/compat and update the debhelper dependency to >= 10 debian/copyright is incomplete. Many but not all of the QML files like src/app/qml/Main.qml have a special clause (LGPL-2.1 or LGPL-3 or any later version of the LGPL approved by the membership of KDE e.V.). That text should be copied to debian/copyright. I think the rest have a standard LGPL-2.1+ but I didn't look thoroughly. Do these 2 files intentionally have a higher license (GPL-2+ instead of LGPL-2+)? Files: src/qtquick/PropertyContainer.cpp src/qtquick/PropertyContainer.h Copyright: 2012, Dan Leinir Turthra JensenLike I said in #5, the overall license may end up being GPL-3 (or LGPL-3 if those 2 files are able to be relicensed to LGPL-2.1+). I would appreciate it if you would let upstream know about that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1663675 Title: [needs-packaging] Please package Peruse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1663675/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1698700] [NEW] hibmc driver does not include "pci:" prefix in bus ID
Public bug reported: On the HiSilicon D05 (arm64) board, X crashes when started. [0] The crash is attributable to the bus ID that the hibmc driver reports for the hibmc graphics card on the board. In particular, the bus id is missing the "pci:" prefix that most other cards provide: [1] - The busid reported on the arm64 system is "0007:a1:00.0" - The busid reported on a amd64 system is "pci::00:02.0" X tests for this prefix. A missing prefix for PCI cards leads to an Xorg crash. A patch is attached, which prevents the crash. [2][3] I submitted the patch upstream. However, upstream is refactoring the drm core, and set_busid is going away, so I'm working on testing if this will be necessary once that lands. [4] This bug exists to help keep track of the status of this fix across upstream and then into our kernels.
