[Bug 1507505] Re: Unable to install GRUB in /dev/nvme
Similar to the other bug reports, I receive the following error when following the installation wizard on Ubuntu 16.04: "Unable to install GRUB in /dev/nvme" I was able to get an encrypted install of Ubuntu with v16.04 with the bootloader on /dev/nvme0n1 working with UEFI boot, with some small tweaks following comments #14 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /grub-installer/+bug/1507505/comments/14) and #19 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub- installer/+bug/1507505/comments/19), The steps I followed in the installer were: 1) Select manual partition setup 2) make sure drive /dev/nvme0n1 is blank 3) create a partition at front of drive, 1000MB (whatever size you need), mapped to /boot 4) create "physical encrypted partition" following the boot partition with the remaining space 5) assign new encrypted partition with the / mount point 6) select /dev/nvme0n1 as the partition to install the boot loader -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1507505 Title: Unable to install GRUB in /dev/nvme To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/grub-installer/+bug/1507505/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm not sure if it was this bug or just a discussion I saw on IRC, but until this morning at least both "Ubuntu" and "Ubuntu on Wayland" sessions resulted in a Wayland session (on a fresh install from a couple of days ago). [Bug 1698083] Re: Vertically maximize on middle button click does not work in Wayland sessions
OK, so there are a few steps to fixing this bug: 1. sudo apt install gnome-tweak-tool 2. Gnome Tweak Tool > Windows > Titlebar Actions > Middle-Click = Toggle Maximize Vertically 3. Log in using Xorg ("Ubuntu") for it to work (not "Ubuntu on Wayland"). Step #3 sounds like an obvious bug. But #2 is seemingly also a bug because it interprets the middle click anywhere on the titlebar -- clicking on the maximize button is not considered a special area. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1698083 Title: Middle-click titlebar actions don't work in Wayland sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1698083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1698083] Re: Vertically maximize on middle button click does not work in Wayland sessions
It appears all middle-click titlebar actions don't work when in a Wayland session. ** Summary changed: - Vertically maximize on middle button click does not work in Wayland sessions + Middle-click titlebar actions don't work in Wayland sessions ** Description changed: - Add support for vertically maximizing a window when its maximize button - is clicked with the middle mouse button. - - I rely on this feature heavily in Unity7 and it doesn't work in Gnome - Shell. + In Gnome Tweak Tool you can configure: + Windows > Titlebar Actions > Middle-Click + However this feature seems to get ignored in Wayland sessions. Hello friend, In this guide, we'll outline the different types of digital camera you can choose, how much you http://tinhnguyensongma.org/sinkx.php?0405 My best to you, Ronnie Layton From: Bug 675919 [mailto:675...@bugs.launchpad.net] Sent: Sunday, July 16, 2017 9:57 PM To: steub...@yahoo.com Subject: 8 more than me Nice try Braveheart, but your *erste nacht* law would be unconstitutional, violating the fourth amendment protections, and probably others. Your city council would be quickly smacked down by the hammer of justice based on existing, superseding law. In your hypothetical example, the cops would be pursuing the city council to rescue Murron, and your protesters would be the ones obstructing the cops because they don't have an (unnecessary) warrant to search the council gang bang chamber. In the real example, the cops were well within their authority to pursue the fleeing suspect. In general, the law is very well thought out, and deliberated over by a lot of intelligent people with a lot of experience. The exigent circumstance exceptions are a limited set of circumstances that give limited extended authority when it is needed. [Bug 1704360] Re: Cannot resize gnome-terminal window in gnome wayland session with mouse
Let's make this bug about gnome-terminal for now. Although I can't seem to reproduce the problem in 17.10, which is good news. The bad news is that "pure" wayland clients have no server-provided window decorations by design (try 'es2gears_wayland' or 'glmark2-es2-wayland'). I don't know much about the background of this decision but personally hope it will change in future. This might also explain why native Wayland clients don't have normal resize controls (confirmed also in the two aforementioned programs). ** Summary changed: - Cannot resize window in gnome wayland session with mouse + Cannot resize gnome-terminal window in gnome wayland session with mouse -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1704360 Title: Cannot resize gnome-terminal window in gnome wayland session with mouse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1704360/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1693464] Re: Bluetooth Audio broken for Bose SoundLink Mini
I'm guessing Bluetooth has paired with it just fine, and just the audio part isn't working (?)
