[Bug 1670706] Re: Kernel Call Trace After Disabling an ath10k Wireless Device (Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac (rev 32))

[Bug 1653456] Re: ASUS G752VS: Touchpad and Fn keys not working (Ubuntu 16.04.1/16.10/17.04)
I've come across an interesting development regarding the Touchpad issue. Since I was having the random freeze when logging in after stand by (or just locked screen), I decided to switch from gdm to lightdm to see if that solves the issue. Indeed, I no longer experience any freezing when logging in. However, the Touchpad now never works even after returning from standby. To add to that, I also noticed that when gdm was freezing and I had to restart it, the Touchpad stops working afterwards (and I usually had to go to standby and back to make it work again). Seems that there's a direct relation between gdm and the Touchpad. Not sure what though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1653456 Title: ASUS G752VS: Touchpad and Fn keys not working (Ubuntu 16.04.1/16.10/17.04) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1653456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1715037] [NEW] Whisker menu doesn't register hover and drag events properly
Public bug reported: 1. Moving the mouse pointer into the edges of the screen, where the Whisker-menu button resides, causes it to flicker between the hovered/unhovered states, randomly falling into either following mouse inactivity. The expected behavior from prior releases is that it stays hovered (allowing the user to open it with a click). Placing the Xfce panel at the bottom of the screen, I noticed that moving the mouse against the bottom-edge (but keeping it away from the left-edge) doesn't cause the issue like it does when placed at the top. Maybe that's related to how the coordinates are computed/constrained. 2. Dragging items within the Whisker menu (e.g. to re-order the Favorites list) doesn't work reliably. Most of the time, the picked-up items are dropped as soon as the cursor is moved. With some care and luck, a drag & drop can succeed, but no pattern/method is apparent. [Bug 1715027] Re: [b43][regression] Hardwire wifi indicator light now flashes with activity; was solid on 16.04.0
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: With a completely updated installation of 16.04.0 LTS, using b43 wifi, the wifi indicator light remains solid, and does not flash to indicate activity. This mirrors the Microsoft Windows behavior for wifi indicator lights. On the same hardware, with an updated installation of 16.04.3 LTS or 16.04.0 with the HWE kernel, the wifi indicator light remains off and flashes to indicate activity. This can lead the user to believe that wifi is not functioning at all. Description: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Release: 16.04 linux-generic-hwe-16.04: Installed: 4.10.0.33.35 Candidate: 4.10.0.33.35 Version table: *** 4.10.0.33.35 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main amd64 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Expected behavior: With the wifi hardware switch in the 'On' position, the wifi indicator light should remain lit and not flash. The indicator should only be off with the hardware switch in the 'Off' position, or in the event there is a malfunction. This is the behavior with 16.04.0 LTS. What happened: With the wifi hardware switch in the 'On' position, the wifi indicator light remains off, and flashes only during wifi activity. This regression is seen both with an installation of the HWE stack as described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack or with a fresh installation of the current 16.04.3 LTS. [Bug 1711337] Re: Firefox crashes at start on armv7L after 55.0.1 update
Same problem on ASUS Chromebook C201 running Xenial under Crouton (armhf). firefox 55.0.1 and 55.0.2 (both published 8/17) crash immediately at launch. firefox 52.0.2 from 8/15 still works for me: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/armhf/firefox/52.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 firefox_52.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.16.04.1_armhf.deb (40.4 MiB) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1711337 Title: Firefox crashes at start on armv7L after 55.0.1 update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1711337/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1715028] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 -17.10 unable to access DVD
On 2017-09-04 23:38, youthinkso wrote:> I have been to ask ubuntu as well as answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ > These solutions do not fix the issue. Well, I still think that that kind of resources is the right place for an issue like this. As long as we don't know why you fail to access DVDs, it's hard to adapt the documentation. It might be some none-docs bug or something special with your system... Another option is to post to the ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss > Like I said earlier... This same computer and same drive worked > perfectly under 16.02.x There is no Ubuntu 16.02.x released. Do you mean 14.04? > sudo dpkg-reconfigure libdvd-pkg - tells me it is already installed. That indicates that the libdvdcss library is already installed. You can confirm it with this command: dpkg -L libdvdcss2 | grep so > /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh` - does not exist in these > ubuntu versions and can not be executed. Right, that's why the documentation was changed. I convert this bug report to a question in the hope that someone can shed some light on the issue. ** Changed in: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+question/657532 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1715028 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 -17.10 unable to access DVD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/1715028/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
