2017-09-28 Thread quanxian
@Canonical
if the backporting works is not easy, we just move it into 18.04.
If the backporting is fine for you, just do it.

The patches are from outside who is not from Intel. we just find that
and list the patches here.

[Bug 1697730] Re: Long boot time due to systemd-networkd-wait-online.service failure

2017-09-28 Thread Jamie Strandboge
I have an XPS 13 9350 and have this problem. I found that I had both
systemd-networkd and NetworkManager services enabled, but no
configuration for systemd-networkd in /etc/systemd/network, and no
configuration in /etc/netplan.

I noticed on a artful VM I had /etc/netplan/01-network-manager-all.yaml
but not on my laptop. I created /etc/netplan/01-network-manager-all.yaml
on my laptop and did 'sudo netplan apply' and rebooted, but no
difference. I then looked again at my logs and saw that my wireless
interface was scanning (ie, not in failed state (I was in an area with
no known APs)) when systemd-networkd-wait-online finally timed out after
2 minutes. Since I knew that I use NetworkManager, I simply did `sudo
systemctl disable systemd-networkd`, rebooted and had a fast boot (with
NetworkManager not blocking when no known APs were available and
connecting when one was).

Is it intentional that systemd-networkd is enabled at the same time
NetworkManager is when there is no configuration? If so, is it expected
that wireless is being attempted when systemd-networkd has no
configuration?

Public bug reported:

ClamAV-daemon 0.99.2+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 and amavis-new installed per
these instructions: ://help.ubuntu.com/community/PostfixAmavisNew

Crashes on attempting to read amavis-new files. Note that ClamAV-daemon
is a member of group amavis, and has execute access to all directories
in the file path through that group.

Log entries such as below appear on receipt of any email:

Sep 28 20:24:15 localhost amavis[7738]: (07738-03) (!)run_av (ClamAV-clamd)
FAILED - unexpected ,
output="/var/lib/amavis/tmp/amavis-20170928T125358-07738-X0fhwQmJ/
parts: lstat() failed: Permission denied. ERROR\n"
Sep 28 20:24:15 localhost amavis[7738]: (07738-03) (!)ClamAV-clamd av-scanner

Sep 28 20:24:15 localhost amavis[7738]: (07738-03) (!)WARN: all primary virus
scanners failed, considering backups

The clamav user can certainly access the directory in question (note the
directory is, in fact, empty):

clamav@localhost:/var/lib/amavis/tmp/amavis-20170928T125358-07738-X0fhwQmJ/parts$
 ls -l

[Bug 1481216] Re: [SRU] unreadable text color in confirmation dialog with ubuntu theme

2017-09-28 Thread Felipe Reyes
> Hi Laurent,
>
> Thanks for testing. Would you be able to test an install from scratch from

> another bug opened for the upgrade issue.

I tested installing directly using cloud-archive:pike-proposed and the problem
persist. See screenshot attached.

The dashboard is loading a css file named 34f8a8f8d5e5.css[0], this file does
not contain the updated rule (color: #fff !important), but other one of the
files[1] available under /var/lib/openstack-dashboard/static/dashboard/css
contains
the expected rule

The difference between both css can be found at
http://paste.ubuntu.com/25636811/

Also I could verify as well that if you install the package from -proposed and
*then* you try to rollback to the version in -updates, the website css gets
totally broken as reported by Laurent.

[Bug 1720256] Re: Wrong display of fonts in Gnome Tweak Tool after installing cantarell fonts

2017-09-28 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs
about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your
bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.
You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1720256/+editstatus and add the
package name in the text box next to the word Package.

2017-09-28 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that a package failed to install due to a segmentation fault in
the application being used for the package installation process.
Unfortunately, this bug report isn't very useful in its current state
and a crash report would be much more useful. Could you try recreating
this issue by enabling apport to catch the crash report 'sudo service
apport start force_start=1' and then trying to install the same package
again? This process will create a new bug report so I am marking this
one as Invalid. Thanks again for helping out!

Long pressing a key will only repeat a few characters or won't repeat at
all in the default 17.10 GNOME environment, it affects all keys
  including backspace and arrows.

It isn't application specific, the problem is always there whether be it
  terminal or firefox.

Setting the repeat delay to 0 will instantly trigger it, however it will
still stop after a few characters.

  I freshly installed 17.10 on a Lenovo Ideapad 700, I haven't had the
problem in 16.04 with GNOME 3.22.

[Bug 1720219] Re: Repeated keys stop after a few characters

2017-09-28 Thread Tamás Ferenc
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected artful wayland-session

** Description changed:

Long pressing a key will only repeat a few characters or won't repeat at
all in the default 17.10 GNOME environment, it affects all keys
  including backspace and arrows.

It isn't application specific, the problem is always there whether be it
  terminal or firefox.

Setting the repeat delay to 0 will instantly trigger it, however it will
still stop after a few characters.

  I freshly installed 17.10 on a Lenovo Ideapad 700, I haven't had the
problem in 16.04 with GNOME 3.22.

Edit: Happens in Xorg as well.

2017-09-28 Thread Dimitri John Ledkov
To accept default of no value, you should use ".\n".

If you simply did "\n", HMC submitted " \n" to d-i, thus you have
submitted the answer " " for this value.

Can you please at this screen do ".\n" to submit "accept default" which
should not break the install?

[Bug 1720250] [NEW] im-config configuration ignored with gdm3

2017-09-28 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
Public bug reported:

After having logged in via gdm3, the IM related environment variables
are always set like this:

$ env | grep -E '_IM|XMOD'
QT_IM_MODULE=ibus
XMODIFIERS=@im=ibus

Changing ~/.xinputrc to e.g. xim makes no difference, so gdm3 prevents
all other IM frameworks but IBus from working.

This problem seems to be similar to bug #1594681 (which was fixed).

[Bug 1719210] Re: Bluetooth audio to A2DP headset no longer works following upgrade from 4.12 to 4.13 in artful

2017-09-28 Thread Max Bowsher
I am seriously confused.

As requested, I tested out a 4.14-rc - actually, I tested -rc2 since
that had come out - and the problem was present - audio playback would
freeze after around 40-50 seconds.

Then I went back to various 4.13 versions and attempted to get the start
of a bisection going - but I've been *unable to reproduce* the problem
with the same 4.13 versions that I initially filed the bug about.

It seems that I'm going to have to run 4.13 for a while, and try to
figure out a reliable reproduction recipe.

Yet, despite that, it seems that something is further wrong in 4.14
since it's reliably breaking there :-/

[Bug 1720244] [NEW] Leaving DNS blank during install, network doesn't come up after post-install boot

2017-09-28 Thread Frank Heimes
Public bug reported:

If at d-i step "Domain name specification"
the domain is just left blank (nothing specified):
Domain name:
The installation completes without errors, but the network does not get up
after the post-install reboot.

Found these msgs in the logs:
Sep 28 13:23:11 debootstrap: /etc/network/interfaces:21: option with empty value
Sep 28 13:23:11 debootstrap: ifquery: couldn't read interfaces file
"/etc/network/interfaces"
Sep 28 13:23:11 debootstrap: ifquery: no interface(s) specified
Sep 28 13:23:11 debootstrap: ifquery: Use --help for help

Full log see attachment.

Line #21 in /etc/network/interfaces is 'dns-search':
cat /etc/network/interfaces
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
auto encc000.2653
iface encc000.2653 inet static
address 10.245.236.12
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 10.245.236.0
broadcast 10.245.236.255
gateway 10.245.236.1
vlan_raw_device encc000
# dns-* options are implemented by the resolvconf package, if installed
dns-nameservers 0.0.0.0
dns-search

Changing to:
dns-search canonical.com
or re-installing and specifying 'canonical.com' as Domain name (just as an
example) works.

The system should come up after an installation even if DNS is empty.

[Bug 1553778] Re: aria2 is unable to connect to some HTTPS sites

2017-09-28 Thread Artyom Aleksyuk
No. Aria2 uses the GnuTLS library directly, without employing an OpenSSL
compat layer.

You can close this bug report, it's not relevant anymore. All major
browsers disabled SHA1 signature algorithm long time ago, so nearly all
SHA1-based certificated were renewed with modern algorithms. And so
there's no more problems with Aria2 connecting to such servers.
