[Bug 1736295] Re: awk script to render mdoc from man pages
Arrr, people participating should be encouraged. IMHO it was right by Josh that this should be fixed upstream to tickle down into all projects. But I tried to contribute or even ping there fore you - what a hell of a ride. Account Creation -> no access (that sounds like what you had). Trying to find an email of the bug assignee or any other way to let people know - like a maze. Overall this thing seems dead to me, with an inactive project lead listed as lead on [1]. And it seems to me the issues in reporting a but or comment could be lack of maintenance on the Jira tracker for it. Nothing gave me any chance to do [2] comments. I found the opener of the report [3] on github with a collection of euca repos which seems reasonable confirmation that he is the "one" - Hi Matt! By following [4] I contacted him directly, so I hope he can help you to contribute there or at least pick up your changes from here for the issue. Odd case ... [Bug 1736883] [NEW] Universal Access | Repeat Keys | Speed: Moving control to left causes repeat rate to increase. Moving right slows down repeat rate. This is opposite of convention.
Public bug reported: In the Universal Access control, Typing, Repeat Keys, the Speed slider slows repeat rate when moved rightward, and increases repeat rate when moved leftward. [Bug 1735976] Re: Problem with secondary monitor and DVD player
While this is not a security issue, it is an issue which may cause hardware damage. Turning the monitor on and off 10+ times during a boot can't add health to the monitor itself. This morning it took 3 failed attempts to boot up the computer. I thought perhaps manually turning off and on the monitor might help. It didn't. There is some loop in the boot code, at exactly the time where it presents the dialog which user to choose, which turned off again my manually turned on monitor. It will continue to audio click away, turning off and on the monitor. The end result is I can't use the computer. The only solution is to hardware turn off the computer itself and hope that maybe the next time around it just might catch itself in a good state without the endless loop when it is asking which user to choose. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1735976 Title: Problem with secondary monitor and DVD player To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1735976/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1731595] Re: L3 HA: multiple agents are active at the same time
Reviewed: https://review.openstack.org/522792 Committed: https://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/neutron/commit/?id=385ac553e33f12c34e8a23459337b2f0af0b75eb Submitter: Zuul Branch:stable/ocata commit 385ac553e33f12c34e8a23459337b2f0af0b75eb Author: venkata anilDate: Thu Nov 23 18:40:30 2017 + Call update_all_ha_network_port_statuses on agent start As explained in bug [1] when l3 agent fails to report state to the server, its state is set to AGENT_REVIVED, triggering fetch_and_sync_all_routers, which will set all its HA network ports to DOWN, resulting in 1) ovs agent rewiring these ports and setting status to ACTIVE 2) when these ports are active, server sends router update to l3 agent As server, ovs and l3 agents are busy with this processing, l3 agent may fail again reporting state, repeating this process. As l3 agent is repeatedly processing same routers, SIGHUPs are frequently sent to keepalived, resulting in multiple masters. To fix this, we call update_all_ha_network_port_statuses in l3 agent start instead of calling from fetch_and_sync_all_routers. [1] https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/1731595/comments/7 Conflicts: neutron/agent/l3/agent.py neutron/api/rpc/handlers/l3_rpc.py Note: This RPC update_all_ha_network_port_statuses is added in only pike and later branches. In older branches, we were using get_router_ids RPC to invoke _update_ha_network_port_status. As we need to invoke this functionality during l3 agent start and get_service_plugin_list() is the only available RPC which is called during l3 agent start, we call _update_ha_network_port_status from get_service_plugin_list. Go to admin/volume types panel 2. Create volume type with any name 3. Go to project/Consistency Groups panel 4. Create Consistency Group and add the volume type we just created 5. Submit Create Consistency Group form [Regression Potential] This changes horizon UI, and need to restart apache2 server. There could be very short outage for openstack dashboard. but this seems not critical to openstack service. and if there is code error, django server can't be started and outage time could be longer than above. [Bug 1736862] [NEW] [Raven1] EFI FB driver cannot get 64-bit FB address with "Above 4G MMIO" enabled in Ubuntu16.04.3
Private bug reported: With "Above 4G MMIO" enabled in BIOS, EFI FB driver cannot get 64-bit FB address on Raven1 platform. Then fail to initialize EFI FB driver. That results in black-screen for console mode or installing Ubuntu system. e.g. if the FB address is 0x7fc8000, EFI FB could only get the low 32-bit FB address. [Bug 1735953] Re: samba mount fails to write
I was mistaken about the cause of this bug. It appears that some default setting has changed, and cifs mounts need uid and gid options passed explicitly. In previous Ubuntu versions, I could mount cifs with just credentials provided I set the owners of the mount point and remote files correctly, a one-time detail. In Ubuntu 17.10, if I fail to pass uid,gid to cifs mount options, it's mounted as root:root and the only access is by everyone permissions or if I'm root. Workaround: when mounting cifs, use options as such: defaults,uid=1001,gid=1001,credentials=[path] Where the ids can be retrieved using 'id [name]' from the shell. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1735953 Title: samba mount fails to write To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/samba/+bug/1735953/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1711203] Re: Deployments fail when Secure Boot enabled
Yes, it's absolutely possible to recreate the environment for testing this without MAAS -- there's nothing all that special to it, chainloading *any* image should work and maintain a Secure Boot-verified chain provided all the links in the chain validate images. This looks to be pretty clearly a bug in chainloader's validation of images, it used to work, but only because it wasn't actually verifying much of it in the first place. ** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre (cyphermox) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1711203 Title: Deployments fail when Secure Boot enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/curtin/+bug/1711203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
