This is hanging for me as well. I had to repetitively kill the
"plymouth --ping" command to get it to successfully complete. Upon
running the "plymouth --ping" independently, I also found that it hung.

2. Move Gvim window to partially out of current desktop
3. Press i to change current mode to insert mode <- problem

I get Akonadi crashing several times a day on a new laptop running
Artful. My previous laptop, running Xenial, did not do this. I'm not
sure that it's crashing with the same signal, as I don't know how to
start Akonadi with this process being debugged. I tried attaching the

Hi Francois,
The patch in 1.9.4-2ubuntu1 is the same as what's coming soon in
libinput release 1.10. So a fix for your specific touchpad should be
done upstream. Simply reverting the patch won't help you after we update
to libinput 1.10, and besides most laptops seem to need that patch.
