While on the Xorg session things seem to be mostly correct on Wayland
after resume from suspend several things are broken:
1) The session resumes on the 4th virtual desktop independently o
This is unfortunately correct.
The login screen runs as user 'gdm' which is not privileged. That means
it has no access to retrieve your personal settings until after you have
entered a password. So it uses the system defaults.
You might be able to change the system defaults by editing this file
