Have you installed the vagrant-libvirt plugin from the same user?
i.e. vagrant plugin install vagrant-libvirt

It's only when you do this that you'll be able to drive libvirt VMs
AFAIK.

[Bug 1778029] Re: Use "Medium power with Device Initiated PM" as default LPM policy for mobile SATA devices

2018-06-28 Thread Kai-Heng Feng
Only OEM systems with Ubuntu preloaded use linux-oem kernel. We have QA
to rigorously test systems before shipping, so it should be fine for
linux-oem users.

integrate with. Setting this as a duplicate of an older bug that asks

[Bug 1779240] [NEW] Unable to Remove Trusted Software Providers From Authentication Tab

2018-06-28 Thread Luke B.
Public bug reported:

Affected Ubuntu Release: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Installed Package Version: 0.96.24.32.3

Upon clicking on a trusted software provider in the Authentication tab,
and then clicking "Remove" will prompt for a password and do absolutely
nothing. I would expect this to remove a software provider from the
trusted list. Specifying the -d or -m options for extra information when
running the application from a terminal emulator returns no useful
information.

Author: Swaminathan Vasudevan

DVR: Inter Tenant Traffic between networks not possible with shared net

Inter Tenant Traffic between two different networks that belong
to two different Tenants is not possible when connected through
a shared network that are internally connected through DVR
routers.

This issue can be seen in multinode environment where there
is network isolation.

The issue is, we have two different IP for the ports that are
connecting the two routers and DVR does not expose the router
interfaces outside a compute and is blocked by ovs tunnel bridge
rules.

This patch fixes the issue by not applying the DVR specific
rules in the tunnel-bridge to the shared network ports that
are connecting the routers.

[Bug 1779238] [NEW] Mouting a disk or iso image asks for sudo password

2018-06-28 Thread Laurent Dinclaux
Public bug reported:

This issue is simple to reproduce on a fresh 18.04 install:

- right click an iso image and select "Open with disk image mounter" (or
double click as it is the default action)

and/or:

- issue the command `gnome-disk-image-mounter image.iso`

The resulting is a dialog asking for the user's password and the message
"Authentification is required to modify the loop device /dev/loop22"

It is a show stopper for me as I use gnome-disk-image-mounter in an
automated way.

[Bug 1778983] Re: Resume from suspend on Wayland breaks window positioning

2018-06-28 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thanks.

** Description changed:

+
+ ---
+
While on the Xorg session things seem to be mostly correct on Wayland
after resume from suspend several things are broken:

  1) The session resumes on the 4th virtual desktop independently on where it
was before
  2) The fullscreen virtualbox session I keep in the fourth desktop now has
broken dimensions not covering the whole screen and/or being offset from the
screen (a gap on the top showing the background and a covered part at the
bottom of the screen)
  3) In what may be the same bug the terminal and gedit windows I keep tiled to
the right and left of virtual desktop 2 show up with wrong sizes.

To fix 2) and 3) I have to do the same thing, take the windows out of
tiling/fullscreen and go back, so somewhere the actual state of the
  windows was lost.

[Bug 1779096] Re: Mouse speed settings not used on the login screen

2018-06-28 Thread Daniel van Vugt
This is unfortunately correct.

The login screen runs as user 'gdm' which is not privileged. That means
it has no access to retrieve your personal settings until after you have
entered a password. So it uses the system defaults.

You might be able to change the system defaults by editing this file as root:
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.desktop.peripherals.gschema.xml

2018-06-28 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Nothing was done. The comment:

  Changed in systemd:

is an unfortunate bug in Launchpad. It was briefly tracking:

  https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/9431

which is now closed so Launchpad thought that means "fixed".

If you scroll up you will find this bug is now correctly showing as not
fixed.

we can get a resolution to this.

This looks like a regression of the gnome-initial-setup SRU to bionic.

Re: [Bug 1779214] [NEW] Installing php-gd on bionic fails (dependency to ubuntu 16.04 istead of 18.04)

2018-06-28 Thread Nish Aravamudan
1) 16.04 -> 18.04 is not yet supported, so you used do-release-upgrade
-d?

2) you had ondrej's ppa configured in 16.04 and it is still configured in
18.04 to use the xenial series. Seems like a local configuration issue with
your repositories.

Dell D6000 exposes a CDC_NCM device for Ethernet traffic. However,
multicast Ethernet traffic is not processed making IPv6 not functional.
Other services, like mDNS used for LAN service discovery are also
hindered.

The actual reason is that CDC_NCM driver was not processing requests to
filter (admit) multicast traffic. I provide two patches to the linux
kernel that admit all Ethernet multicast traffic whenever a multicast
group is being joined.

The solution is not optimal, as it makes the system receive more traffic
than that strictly needed, but otherwise this only happens when the
computer is connected to a dock and thus is running on AC power. I
believe it is not worth the hassle to join only the requested groups.
This is the same that is done in the CDN_ETHER driver.

All USB bugs should be sent to the linux-...@vger.kernel.org mailing
list, and not entered into bugzilla. Please bring this issue up there,
if it is still a problem in the latest kernel release.

[Bug 476384] Re: PKCS#12 Certificate file and passphrase sent by email are unusable

2018-06-28 Thread gf
Hello Pirouette,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2009 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 476384

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

[Bug 1766186] Re: IncludeOptional fails when a directory does not exist

2018-06-28 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Artful:
- the cacti regressions are due to a mariadb regression:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mariadb-10.1/+bug/1757107
After being installed, mariadb isn't running, and thus the cacti postinst can't
configure a database and cacti fails to work.
- resource-agents on s390x: will investigate next
