I just stumbled across this ubuntu issue while being bored and reading
Try modifying /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades and set "Prompt=lts"
and then try upgrading again. Right now you are trying to upgrade to
Ubuntu 14.10 which is an unsupported release of Ubuntu.

security is to use Debian GNU/Linux instead of Ubuntu and `apt install

kernel 4.15 breaks xl2tpd

Unreproducible here in a xenial chroot w/ same versions of dpkg and
libglib2.0-0. The format of the triggers file looks correct. Yan, is
this problem reproducible if you run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a && sudo
apt -f install && sudo apt install libglib2.0-0' in a terminal?
Otherwise, my guess is

This has to do with the mysql package not debian-installer.

You have quite a few PPAs enabled and they can cause release upgrades to
fail as they may provide package versions which are greater than those
in the Ubuntu archive. One PPA which stands out to me is the ubuntu-
toolchain PPA - you can try disabling it and removing its packages using
the tool
the glib SRU seems to create issues, see bug #1784065 "triggers ci file
contains unknown directive `interest-await'"
