[Bug 1794059] Re: Slow IO on intel arches in builders, causes FTBFS
I didn't want to retrigger your upload since I don't own it. But I spun up three PPAs to check if this build time test is flaky. @Fermulator - I polished, your upload and will prepare it. Without a real hard issue other than the error dmesg I'd not try to SRu to former releases. Debian should be affected just as much, would you mind reporting a bug there as well so that they acn also pick the change at some point? Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck! [This is an automated message. [Bug 1794209] [NEW] package python3-pil:amd64 5.1.0-1 failed to install/upgrade: installed python3-pil:amd64 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: Upgrading from 16.04 to 18.04 The message "could not install...-pil" appeared halfway through (see attached screenshot. When the upgrade was almost complete I received another message "could not install upgrades, the upgrade has aborted. Your system could be in an unstable state. A recovery will run now (dpkg-configure-a)." (your program would not let me upload more than one screenshot) When the upgrade was complete a third message "upgrade complete. The upgrade has completed but there were errors during the upgrade process" (see attached screenshot) The reason I upgraded was because the last update kernel I downloaded 4.4.0-135 would not let me reboot properly. Please tell me how to fix this. Thanks. [Bug 1767650] Re: Screen rotates upside-down when laptop is not flat
Everything I have read points to the "3D Driveguard". [Bug 1793394] Re: hns3: enable ethtool rx-vlan-filter on supported hw
** Description changed: [Impact] Newer revisions of hns3 support toggling the rx-vlan-filter feature, but the driver does not allow it. [Test Case] Currently the command: - $ sudo strace ethtool -K rx-vlan-filter off + $ sudo ethtool -K rx-vlan-filter off reports: - Could not change any device features + Could not change any device features Even on hardware that supports this feature. [Fix] Apply this upstream commit: 3e85af6a6812d net: hns3: Add vlan filter setting by ethtool command -K [Regression Risk] I've regression tested on hns3 hardware that does not support this feature, and it worked as it should. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1793394 Title: hns3: enable ethtool rx-vlan-filter on supported hw To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1793394/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1784774] Re: snapd is not autofs aware and fails with nfs home dir
I created a patch to workaround this problem: https://github.com/bryant1410/snapd/commit/a9831da29aba7a4905647ff582061ac399a3b240 It's basically hardcoding a value. I'm not sure what the correct behavior should be for all the cases that /home is autofs, or if it should check that /home/user is NFS instead. So, as a workaround, you can clone the repo, checkout that commit, build from source as stated in the repo, place the snapd executable in /usr/local/bin and edit the systemctl service file (/lib/systemd/system/snapd.service) to point to that executable instead. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784774 Title: snapd is not autofs aware and fails with nfs home dir To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1784774/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
