are working to remove from Debian & Ubuntu. Those libraries have already been
removed from Debian Testing.
I have another problem. the update on python-cryptography won't install.
The computer hangs in the process.

`noapic` removed and `ivrs_ioapic[32]=00:14.0` added to the kernel
command line makes the touch pad work. It seems the `i2c_designware`
timeout error has disappeared from dmesg.

After upgrading my Lenovo x240 laptop to kmod (25-1ubuntu1.1), it hangs
on boot.
After blacklisting i2c_i801 everything works great again.
I realize that this was a fix for bug 1786574, and that helps some other
folks out. I'm not sure what the right fix is but there's got
1) I don't have /etc/xdg/autostart/indicator-application.desktop.
2) Killing indicator-application-service does not cause my app
indicators to re-appear.

In Debian, the package stopped depending on prison a year ago.

Are you all on gnome-shell? I have the same transparency issue in gnome-
session-flashback / lightdm, but only when using theme Ambiance. I moved
to theme Adwaita and the transparency issues are gone.
Setting the input method to iBus does fix it for theme Ambiance too.

Happy to confirm that I am typing this from the laptop running a fresh
Ubuntu 18.10 installation. The only snag I had was after the installer
completes, it doesn't want to pop up the grub menu (goes straight into
booting Ubuntu), which would prompt a crash due to the grub cmd not
being in place.

I am using Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS, my current Linux kernel is
4.4.0-116-generic x86_64.
