[Bug 1820144] Re: iptables-persistent fails in containers due to modprobe being unavailable even though module could've been loaded outside of the container
Hello WGH, or anyone else affected, Accepted iptables-persistent into bionic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /iptables-persistent/1.0.4+nmu2ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-bionic to verification-done-bionic. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-bionic. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping! N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days. ** Changed in: iptables-persistent (Ubuntu Bionic) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed verification-needed-bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1820144 Title: iptables-persistent fails in containers due to modprobe being unavailable even though module could've been loaded outside of the container To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/iptables-persistent/+bug/1820144/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1827694] [NEW] Synaptics Touchpad doesn't support scroll after update to 19.04
Public bug reported: I have Lenovo P50 laptop. After upgrading to 19.04 from 18.10 Synaptics touchpad no longer supports scrolling after boot. It is also not detected in 'mouse' settings. After some research I found that running 'echo -n "reconnect" | sudo tee /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio1/drvctl' seems to fix the problem. Relevant info in dmesg: ``` $ dmesg | grep -E 'psmouse|i801' [2.101685] i801_smbus :00:1f.4: enabling device ( -> 0003) [2.101805] i801_smbus :00:1f.4: SPD Write Disable is set [2.101913] i801_smbus :00:1f.4: SMBus using PCI interrupt [2.871715] psmouse serio1: synaptics: queried max coordinates: x [..5676], y [..4754] [2.905193] psmouse serio1: synaptics: queried min coordinates: x [1266..], y [1100..] [2.905195] psmouse serio1: synaptics: Trying to set up SMBus access [3.109019] i801_smbus :00:1f.4: Timeout waiting for interrupt! [Bug 1749961] Re: xhci_hcd: TRB DMA errors reported with ASMedia ASM1142 USB 3.1 Controller
I'm also experiencing the same issue with the ASM1142 controller on the Core X Chroma and can reproduce consistently. I'm running kernel 5.0.9. Guilherme, thanks for your work diagnosing this. This device is sold by Razer. I will try and reach out but they do not claim Linux support on any of their devices so I worry this may go unfixed. Barring a firmware fix, is there any hope of this being fixed with a quirk, as the other controller was? I realize this LP is not the ideal place for such a fix to take place, but I am happy to participate in finding a solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1749961 Title: xhci_hcd: TRB DMA errors reported with ASMedia ASM1142 USB 3.1 Controller To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1749961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Also barbican-worker logs for both units contain messages about model migrations which is problematic as model migrations are not idempotent. barbican/0: 2019-05-03 20:51:24.375 78559 INFO barbican.model.repositories [-] Auto-creating barbican registry DB 2019-05-03 20:51:38.930 78559 ERROR oslo_db.sqlalchemy.exc_filters [-] DBAPIError exception wrapped from (pymysql.err.InternalError) (1050, "Table 'kek_data' already exists") [SQL: '\nCREATE TABLE kek_data (\n\tid VARCHAR(36) NOT NULL, \n\tcreated_at DATETIME NOT NULL, \n\tupdated_at DATETIME NOT NULL, \n\tdeleted_at DATETIME, \n\tdeleted BOOL NOT NULL, \n\tstatus VARCHAR(20) NOT NULL, \n\tplugin_name VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, \n\tkek_label VARCHAR(255), \n\tproject_id VARCHAR(36) NOT NULL, \n\tactive BOOL NOT NULL, \n\tbind_completed BOOL NOT NULL, \n\talgorithm VARCHAR(255), \n\tbit_length INTEGER, \n\tmode VARCHAR(255), \n\tplugin_meta TEXT, \n\tPRIMARY KEY (id), \n\tCHECK (deleted IN (0, 1)), \n\tCONSTRAINT kek_data_project_fk FOREIGN KEY(project_id) REFERENCES projects (id), \n\tCHECK (active IN (0, 1)), \n\tCHECK (bind_completed IN (0, 1))\n)ENGINE=InnoDB\n\n'] (Background on this error at: http://sqlalche.me/e/2j85): pymysql.err.InternalError: (1050, "Table 'kek_data' already exists") barbican/1: 2019-05-03 20:51:08.942 96228 INFO barbican.model.repositories [-] Auto-creating barbican registry DB 2019-05-03 20:51:41.095 96228 ERROR oslo_db.sqlalchemy.exc_filters [-] DBAPIError exception wrapped from (pymysql.err.InternalError) (1050, "Table 'secret_store_metadata' already exists") [SQL: '\nCREATE TABLE secret_store_metadata (\n\tid VARCHAR(36) NOT NULL, \n\tcreated_at DATETIME NOT NULL, \n\tupdated_at DATETIME NOT NULL, \n\tdeleted_at DATETIME, \n\tdeleted BOOL NOT NULL, \n\tstatus VARCHAR(20) NOT NULL, \n\t`key` VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, \n\tvalue VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, \n\tsecret_id VARCHAR(36) NOT NULL, \n\tPRIMARY KEY (id), \n\tCHECK (deleted IN (0, 1)), \n\tFOREIGN KEY(secret_id) REFERENCES secrets (id)\n)ENGINE=InnoDB\n\n'] (Background on this error at: http://sqlalche.me/e/2j85): pymysql.err.InternalError: (1050, "Table 'secret_store_metadata' already exists") ** Description changed: After deploying barbican (stein, 19.04 charms) I got into a situation where both workers (two-node HA) are down due to a failed alembic migration: https://private-fileshare.canonical.com/~dima/charm-dumps/04-05-2019-barbican-0-var-log.tar.gz https://private-fileshare.canonical.com/~dima/charm-dumps/04-05-2019-barbican-1-var-log.tar.gz + + https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/J6GvwkXMWc/ - bundle.yaml May 03 20:51:11 juju-35b20e-3-lxd-0 systemd[1]: Started OpenStack Barbican Key Management Workers. Hello Tiit, or anyone else affected, Accepted golang-google-grpc into disco-proposed. ** Description changed: [Impact] The version of golang-google-grpc packaged in bionic and cosmic (1.6.0-3) crashes intermittently due to a race condition. Upstream bug report and pull requests: https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/issues/ https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/pull/1546 https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/pull/1687 This can cause all packages Built-Using: golang-google-grpc=1.6.0-3 to crash as well (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/etcd/+bug/1800973). The attached debdiff contains two upstream fixes squashed together: https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/commit/22c3f92f5faea8db492fb0f5ae4daf0d2752b19e https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/commit/c6b46087ab923e9f453ec433f99174cdd45b9b89 These fix the race by synchronizing the entire function. [Test Case] + The patch includes patches to test cases to exercise the race condition. One test case would fail sometimes without the fix; the second test case would always fail without the fix. - 1. Download the source: apt source golang-google-grpc && cd golang-google-grpc-1.6.0 - 2. Patch in the attached test cases: patch -p1 < test-cases-only.patch - - Theses are part of the upstream patch. Only apply manually to verify problem pre-patch. - 3. Build the package, running the test cases: dpkg-buildpackage --target clean, build - - Since this is a race condition, the first test case is not guaranteed to fail. - - The second test case should always fail. - - With the fixes applied there is no need for step 2 (the test cases are - part of the patch) and step 3 succeeds every time without failure. + If the package builds successfully with the patch, then the test cases + have passed. [Regression Potential] Regressions are unlikely due to the size and scope of the patch. The fix has been applied upstream since 30 Nov 2017 and is still in use in the latest release: https://github.com/grpc/grpc- go/blob/v1.19.0/internal/transport/handler_server.go#L193 A possible source of regressions would be the squashing of the two commits into one. Luckily they were also applied upstream immediately one after the other so it should work without problems. Another source would be if these patches depended on some other changes made since 1.6.0-3. However testing has not revealed this to be the case. Issues might also arise from my inexperience in updating Ubuntu packages and submitting patches for Stable Release Updates. [Other Info] As golang-google-grpc is a Go library it is linked into other packages statically. This means that simply updating this package is not enough and dependents need to be rebuilt to benefit from these fixes. If this patch is accepted then I plan to open another SRU request to set the fixed version as a minimal build dependency for etcd to have it also rebuilt and resolve https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/etcd/+bug/1800973. [Bug 1580569] Re: copy paste between two open files fails
I'm getting that same error, but without even having the copy & paste aspect. I simply select "T" (text box) and click in the active region. I'm on Xubuntu 19.04, running glabels 3.4.1. Not sure if I should attach to this bug report or create a new one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1580569 Title: copy paste between two open files fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glabels/+bug/1580569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
