[Bug 1861340] Re: All bitmap fonts no longer visible after upgrade 19.10 -> Focal (development)
The status is just a mapping launchpad does from the gitlab closed state, if you look carrefully you will notice that the Ubuntu line is set as 'triaged'. I'm not sure we want to stay on an older serie for the LTS only to workaround that issue though... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861340 Title: All bitmap fonts no longer visible after upgrade 19.10 -> Focal (development) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pango/+bug/1861340/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1860754] Re: ASUS T100HAN boots to a blank screen with a cursor [i965: Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error]
On a similar Asus netbook (with an Intel Atom x5-Z8300) I find that Ubuntu 19.10 boots perfectly from USB. Oddly, 20.04 does not. With 20.04 I experience a blank screen more like this bug. To get around it I just avoided the live session. At the 20.04 boot menu, choose 'Install Ubuntu (safe graphics)'. Then it installs and boots successfully (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20200124/). So I have the feeling this is close to being fixed in some future live session of 20.04. I wouldn't worry about 19.10 for too long because it will reach end-of-life in July (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases). I suggest the next step in this bug is for you to follow comment #10 and try 20.04 for yourself. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860754 Title: ASUS T100HAN boots to a blank screen with a cursor [i965: Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1860754/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem. 2. The behavior you expected. 3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 1861643] [NEW] libvirt CPU model selection missing
Public bug reported: As of 5.4.0-0ubuntu5 on Ubuntu 19.10 x86_64, available CPU model selection as I can see from virt-manager is still missing some CPU models. Here's some info based on running "virsh capabilities" Host: Lenovo L470 (UEFI=1.71), i3-7100u ==> I cannot select SkyLake-whatever in virt-manager as it is detected as Broadwell x86_64 Broadwell-noTSX-IBRS Intel ASRock B450M Pro (UEFI 3.90), Ryzen 3600 ==> no CPU model is available for selection in virt-manager, and I have to use at the moment, really not preferred. x86_64 EPYC-IBPB AMD Expected: CPU model <= host CPU model should be selectable. in case of i3-7100u, it means SkyLake-Client should be available; in case of Ryzen 3600, at least EPYC should be available. ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861643 Title: libvirt CPU model selection missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1861643/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1790856] Re: [MIR] pmdk
Sorry if I was unclear: libpmemobj and friends are well-tested on amd64, it's only the ppc64el port of those that's very new (mostly because of many hardcoded x86 assumptions, like page and especially cacheline size, that are untrue on ppc). The library has gone through six years of development already, thus can be considered pretty solid. pmempool is a tool (and library) for managing libpmemobj pools. The rest (pmemblk and pmemlog) are somewhat less useful but still are a part of the product. Thus, I'd recommend skipping only parts that are experimental: rpmem on amd64, and anything but perhaps libpmem on arm64 and ppc64el. The debug libs belong in universe, too, I guess. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1790856 Title: [MIR] pmdk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pmdk/+bug/1790856/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1861634] Re: Dell XPS 9575 after resume from sleep/suspend, the backlight does not turn back on
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1861634/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
