[Bug 1860761] Re: Dell XPS 13 - Bios upgrade not working - Always ask for power supply
FTR, I tried as Daniel described, and it didn't work. My configuration is slightly different, though: * using Ubuntu 19.04 * my current firmware is 1.1.3 When I click on the update with AC plugged in, I get a "Software is up to date" message,* with no indication to reboot. When I reboot, I see (very quickly) 4 lines at the top-left of the initial "Dell" screen, saying something about a firmware update found... Does not look like an error message. [Bug 1871296] [NEW] Activities not showing some files in search in overview
Public bug reported: I am facing an issue with the new version of Gnome (3.36) in Ubuntu 20.04. The problem is as follows: I copied files inside home folder (e.g., documents, images, videos) and subfolders, then waited for tracker to index, then do a search trough overview and in Nautilus. The result: Nautilus shows all the files when searched, but these files are not showed in Activities view (search in Activities). I have checked that the respective tracker options are appropriately configured. Also, this is happening (at least for me) only with Nautilus 3.36. I have not found this behavior with the previous 3.34.x version. [Bug 1871295] [NEW] Live CD 20.04 don't set correct keyboard layout after ubiquity
Public bug reported: When running 20.04 beta in live mode, after choosing language "Português do Brasil" and choosing to try live cd without installation, the correct kayboard layout (Brazil ABNT) is not set in the gnome desktop. The screenshot attached (Captura de tela de 2020-04-07 05-14-23.png) shows the top-right keyboard set is "pt1", where the correct would be "pt2" (Português Brasil). You have to change manually in order to have your keyboard working as intended when you chose "Português do Brasil" in the first screen. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. [Bug 1507170] Re: hfsprogs in Ubuntu is very old (2009 release), please update to latest 576 release
PING! Any plans for movement on updating this package? Is this package mainly imported from upstream (Debian) ? How can I verify which version of the "diskdev_cmds" project is used on modern macOS? Current macOS version 10.15.4 has binary "fsck_hfs" from "hfs-522.100.5". As evidenced by: strings $(which fsck_hfs ) | grep PROJECT: @(#)PROGRAM:fsck_hfs PROJECT:hfs-522.100.5 However, I'm only seeing up to version 522.0.9 here: https://opensource.apple.com/source/hfs/ It sounds like this particular set of tools, fsck.hfs[plus] & mkfs.hfs[plus], were sourced originally from diskdev_cmds project ( https://opensource.apple.com/source/diskdev_cmds/ ). I'm a bit confused as to whether current Apple macOS even uses the "diskdev_cmds" project at all. Searching their binaries for "PROJECT:diskdev_cmds" yields no results: OLDIFS="$IFS"; IFS=':'; for p in $PATH; do sudo find "$p" -type f -print0 | sudo xargs -0 strings | grep PROJECT: ; done | sort | uniq | grep -i diskdev ; IFS="$OLDIFS" # No results! # Tip: taking off the last '| grep -i diskdev' command from the pipe shows *all* current project versions of macOS command line utilities ;-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1507170 Title: hfsprogs in Ubuntu is very old (2009 release), please update to latest 576 release To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hfsprogs/+bug/1507170/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
