The key thing I've noticed here is that if I grab the device via libusb and capture data, then it's on interface 0x83, and the bytes are a little different to the keys that do work (like vol+). [Bug 409739] Re: Support http_proxy
This almost works.. it fails for me when i have a large number of files to backup, and works fine when there's just a few. The number of files is not consistent though, with ~2000 files it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I'm using a swift-based provider and swift itself can upload the files using a proxy fine and very quickly. Is there a way we can just dump the duplicity backups locally after reading them from the server and upload them manually? Curiously the the failure message is an SSL mismatch one from the requests library. Looking at the packet dump when it works duplicity uses TLS 1.2 the whole time. When it fails a "Encypted Alert" packet arrives. Without changing the verbosity it hangs while uploading the diff tars, with the output: `Attempt 1 failed. ConnectionError: None` And running duplicity with the `--verbosity d` argument gives me the accompanying: ``` File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/duplicity/backend.py", line 374, in inner_retry return fn(self, *args) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/duplicity/backend.py", line 545, in put self.__do_put(source_path, remote_filename) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/duplicity/backend.py", line 531, in __do_put self.backend._put(source_path, remote_filename) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/duplicity/backends/swiftbackend.py", line 150, in _put open(util.fsdecode(source_path.name), u'rb')) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/swiftclient/client.py", line 1913, in put_object response_dict=response_dict) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/swiftclient/client.py", line 1753, in _retry service_token=self.service_token, **kwargs) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/swiftclient/client.py", line 1380, in put_object conn.putrequest(path, headers=headers, data=data) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/swiftclient/client.py", line 484, in putrequest return self.request('PUT', full_path, data, headers, files) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/swiftclient/client.py", line 472, in request files=files, **self.requests_args) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/swiftclient/client.py", line 453, in _request return self.request_session.request(*arg, **kwarg) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/requests/sessions.py", line 530, in request resp = self.send(prep, **send_kwargs) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packiddyages/requests/sessions.py", line 643, in send r = adapter.send(request, **kwargs) File "/home/me/.virtualenvs/duplicity/lib/python3.6/site-packages/requests/adapters.py", line 498, in send raise ConnectionError(err, request=request) requests.exceptions.ConnectionError: [SSL: WRONG_VERSION_NUMBER] wrong version number (_ssl.c:852) ``` -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/409739 Title: Support http_proxy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/deja-dup/+bug/409739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi, please try to edit grub boot param and add "initcall_debug earlyprintk=efi debug ignore_loglevel", also insert "set debug=all" to the beginning of that grub linux entry. Booting with this entry could be slower than usual but gives some more trace of early boot status. [Bug 1873616] [NEW] Setting A Missing/Corrupt Icon Theme In Appearance Crashes MATE Panel/Elements And Causes New Sessions To Be Blanked
Public bug reported: [Unsure Of Component To File Against] Setting the icon theme in Appearance->Customize to an icon theme that is corrupt/unrecognized causes panels to crash/restart/crash and other instability. [Bug 1872941] Re: [Ubuntu 20.04] virt-install fails to detect path after images folder name has changed
If the legacy d-i netboot images are not going to be published/supported 20.04.1 onwards, do we have an equivalent replacement that's able to perform the same function? The mini.iso allows me to boot my 384 Mb ram VPS without a cd-rom drive into the installation environment by just loading the kernel/initrd from grub and complete a minimal setup by downloading only the necessary components from the internet. It also allows me to keep my existing disk layout (LVM volumes hosted in an encrypted luks partition) and install over it. Are we expecting the new netboot/subiquity setup to be able to do this by the 20.04.1 release? Or are we just going to drop the legacy installer that works well to address these use cases in favor of something that must download and load a 1 Gb ISO image in RAM to work? What about the ability to install over existing LVM volumes within an encrypted partition? Is that planned to be incorporated before d-i is dropped completely? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1872941 Title: [Ubuntu 20.04] virt-install fails to detect path after images folder name has changed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1872941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Package lvm2 contains a init-premount script named /usr/share/initramfs- tools/scripts/init-premount/lvm2 In this script there is the function call: add_mountroot_fail_hook "20-lvm2" Which is defined in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/functions In focal's 0.136ubuntu6 , this is defined as: add_mountroot_fail_hook() { mkdir -p /tmp/mountroot-fail-hooks.d ln -s "$0" /tmp/mountroot-fail-hooks.d/"$0" } The final line of the function will execute as ln -s "/scripts/lvm2" /tmp/mountroot-fail-hooks.d/"/scripts/lvm2" And fail, because directory /tmp/mountroot-fail-hooks.d/scripts does not exist. Ok, removing the packages works too. One thing that will happen is that if you open Language Support, it will prompt you to install those packages (which you can choose not to, of course). [Bug 1873604] [NEW] nvidia-340 should prune 'splash' from grub.cfg

Bug 1864188 is marked as a duplicate of this one. I am not sure this is correct so I added my comment into 1864188. To increase chances that somebody sees it, the comment says that, on my system, the iwlwifi driver shipped with the standard bionic kernel 5.3.0-46 seems to be loading the wrong firmware blob. It loads "iwlwifi- Qu-b0-jf-b0-48.ucode" which crashes quickly, as seen in dmesg. I believe it should load "iwlwifi-QuZ-a0-jf-b0-48.ucode". I now use a driver that does so and all is working fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1865962 Title: Dell XPS 13 9300 Intel 1650S wifi [34f0:1651] fails to load firmware To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1865962/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1864188] Re: Intel Wireless-AC 9462 [8086:02f0] Subsystem [8086:42a4]: After the upgrade of 19.10 on 2020-02-18, wifi does not exist
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1865962 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1865962 Got a new zenbook UX431F and no wifi despite having a usually well supported intel wifi. The PCI id is 8086 02f0. No clear if this is a AC9462, AC9560, 22000. The relation between the commercial name and the actual hardware remains mysterious to me. I eventually found a workaround. The important bit for you may be that it seems that the driver shipped with the standard bionic kernel 5.3.0-46 loads the wrong firmware blob. It loads "iwlwifi- Qu-b0-jf-b0-48.ucode" which crashes quickly, as seen in dmesg. Here is why I believe it should load "iwlwifi-QuZ-a0-jf-b0-48.ucode": * The backport-iwlwifi-dkms, version 7906 from https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=backport-iwlwifi-dkms seems in fact older than the driver found in kernel 5.3.0-46. I have to dkms install --force to use it. It loads firmare "/lib/firmware/iwlwifi- QuZ-a0-jf-b0-48.ucode" and does not crash. I can see the available ssids in network manager. But dmesg shows an error setting up "wep" and it seems unable to stay connected to my secure network. * Then I tried version 8324 from https://launchpad.net/~canonical-hwe- team/+archive/ubuntu/backport-iwlwifi. This one also loads "/lib/firmware/iwlwifi-QuZ-a0-jf-b0-48.ucode" and all works fine! Too bad it took me several hours to find it. Anyway, none of the drivers that load "/lib/firmware/iwlwifi- QuZ-a0-jf-b0-48.ucode" show a firmware crash in the intel chip. The shipped driver loads "iwlwifi-Qu-b0-jf-b0-48.ucode" and crashes, resulting in no wifi card being registered. That message is only meant to be used in debug builds. But if you really want a message in a release build, you can always check the condition first and print your message before doing the RELEASE_ASSERT. I do not recommend doing this in the general case (for performance reasons), but in your implementation here, it’ll only be executed once. [Bug 1873086] Re: sound stutters when playing on a bluetooth receiver
@Daniel Thank you, will see where I get with sudo modprobe ath10k_core btcoex_enable=1 bt_ant_diversity=1 as seems to have been suggested under the related bug. Will try 5GHz and disabling WiFi, but the latter can obviously only be a temporary diagnostics step. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1873086 Title: sound stutters when playing on a bluetooth receiver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1873086/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1871590] Re: Kernel 5.3 fails to boot on Inspiron 15 3000 running Ubuntu 18.04 since 2020-03-22 update
Interesting note: there's two similar laptops at hand: DELL Inspiron 15 3000 with i3 - works fine with 5.3 kernel. DELL Inspiron 15 3000 with Pentium(R) Silver N5000 - 5.3 does not boot! ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871590 Title: Kernel 5.3 fails to boot on Inspiron 15 3000 running Ubuntu 18.04 since 2020-03-22 update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1871590/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
