Step-by-step reproducer:
Set up a 2 node rabbitmq cluster using virtual machines.
Make the hostnames rabbitmq1 and rabbitmq2.
Add each host to /etc/hosts in each vm.
Create the cluster:
1) On both hosts: sudo apt install rabbitmq-server
2) On host 1, copy the string in /var/lib/rabbitmq/.erlang.cookie and place it
in /var/lib/rabbitmq/.erlang.cookie on host 2.
3) On host 2, restart the rabbitmq service: sudo systemctl restart
rabbitmq-server
4) On host 2, stop the server: sudo rabbitmqctl stop_app
5) On host 2: sudo rabbitmqctl reset
6) On host 2: sudo rabbitmqctl join_cluster rabbit@rabbitmq1
7) On host 2: sudo rabbitmqctl start_app
8) On host 1: sudo rabbitmqctl cluster_status
You should see both rabbit hosts in the cluster.
Set up the queues:
On host 1:
1) sudo rabbitmqctl add_user tester linux
2) sudo rabbitmqctl add_vhost tester
3) sudo rabbitmqctl set_permissions -p tester tester ".*" ".*" ".*"
4) sudo rabbitmqctl set_policy -p tester HA ".*" '{"ha-mode": "all"}'

On host 1:

In my case, rabbitmq1 is the primary owner of the queue denoted with <>,
with rabbitmq2 being a slave, denoted with [].
We want to shut down the primary host, so the slave gets promoted to
being primary.
Shut down rabbitmq1.
On host 2, confirm it has become primary with:
1) sudo rabbitmqctl list_queues -p tester name pid slave_pids
Listing queues
test_queue[]
Send a new message, to push the queue ahead of what rabbitmq1 currently
knows about.
On VM host:
1) ./test-rabbit.py --send 'message 2'
2) ./test-rabbit.py --list
Shut rabbitmq2 down, so all VMs are off.
Attempt to boot rabbitmq1 now. rabbitmq1 will assume it is behind, and
needs to wait for rabbitmq2 to come online before we continue. This is
where the issue occurs. Check the status of rabbitmq-server.service on
rabbitmq1.
1) sudo systemctl status rabbitmq-server.service

I'm sorry, I can't recall that system very well at this point. "gmain" is the generic name used by any application using glib's g_get_worker_context() function to create worker threads. At this point I can't even recall if I booted that system with X11 / lightdm or if I had configured it to boot to multiuser only. About the only thing I used that system for was tmux and irssi, neither of which are using the thread name 'gmain' in Xenial, so they were probably also not using the name in Saucy. So, it would have been supplied by 'standard' system software, not something I chose to run myself. This bug is a regression: with older version of Ubuntu, such as 18.04 LTS, during the install process, you get your selected keyboard layout all along during the install process. As I said before, this bug makes that, if you don't realize that the keyboard layout fell to US, it might happen that at the place where you choose your password, where the letters appears as "*", you use one or more characters where US and your selected keyboard layouts differs without realizing it. In that case, at the reboot (where your keyboard selection is correctly activated), you will receive the message "invalid password" on and on. Thank you for helping to reformulate and motivate me to goes on :-) I am more precise now and I think I may say it is exactly the same bug in all 3 languages I checked. The selected keyboard layout is NOT recognize at any point during the install process, period. I check 3 keyboards layout (and languages): Norwegian, French and Deutsch (aka German) on my VM. In other words: at no point of the install but the moment of the selection itself, you get the keyboard layout you selected. You got a 82 US layout in the first version of 20.04, with "Groovie" it's a 102 US layout (with numeric keypad). A little progress, so. The original bug description said: "During a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04, selecting Norwegian keyboard is provided and keys are responding correctly at that stage. But later when entering user information the keyboard setting is wrong." Word for word, the same remark applies except, as I said before, that the problem appears sooner, too. Testing Ubuntu 17.04 20170130 ISO
Is plugged to a power source checkbox - not displayed on 'Preparing to
install Ubuntu' screen ('Download updates when installing Ubuntu' and
'Installing third-party software' is there) when plugged in or when I
unplug, or when I go back to the Install/Live Session screen and back
into the 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen. Have we dropped this
check? If so, tell me and I will close the bug and report an issue with
the testcase.

Public bug reported: Impact: The lockdown patches have evolved over time, and part of this was restricting more areas of the kernel. Not all of these additions were backported, and some can lead to lockdown bypasses, see [1] and [2]. Fix: Backport newer lockdown restrictions to older releases. Test Case: Test cases for most of the backports can be found at [3], and [4] is another test case. Some which need e.g. specific hardware to test have not been tested. Regression Potential: Most of these are small, simple fixes with low potential for regression. Users may also lose access to some functionality previously accissible under secure boot. Public bug reported: i was very happy until i installed wine and playonlinux to get some windows apps that i need.. i turned it off, go to sleep, wake up, start again athis is what happen: 1- when the machine starts, before login section, a lot of code in black screen. Telling something like "error", "not found", things like that 2- after that, the login was rare, too big scaled 3- when it opens up my session, everything is out of scale, too big. I try to settings/Display, but only 640 x 480 (4:3) is available 4- now everything sucks (sorry), i can not save some files in pendrive, because it is no "mounted point" 5- i do the backup thing, just 2 days ago... when i was in the peak of my happiness, but when i "restore" it, just said everything was ok, etc, but nothing happens ASK: is there a way to protect the system to make mistakes ? i ask this because, there is a lot of potential linux users, who do not get it because they dont even try, but there is a lot of new users, who really do not code anything, and the only way is to get some tutorials, etc and follow the steps. I understand that this steps are made by people in there own system, and they do not have to know/match with mine. In my last try with ubuntu, a few years ago (14.08 i think) this was my most hard thing to survive with, because in that time, i had to run cuda from nvidia, for the graphics, and everything goes to hell too. I believe this was introduced in commit
c0283a2028317d3fb6574f9a06e68443cf6b89cd which added this check:

From man core. Since kernel 5.3.0, the pipe template is split on spaces into an argument list before the template parameters are expanded. In earlier kernels, the template parameters are expanded first and the resulting string is split on spaces into an argument list. This means that in earlier kernels executable names added by the %e and %E template parameters could get split into multiple arguments. So the core dump handler needs to put the executable names as the last argument and ensure it joins all parts of the executable name using spaces.
