Right-click on the element in question and choose Inspect Element from the menu, then in the Inspector look at the Fonts panel on the right-hand side (it's one of the options for the section that offers Layout / Computed / Changes / etc.) Note that you may have to use the popup menu at the far right to switch to the Fonts panel, if the window isn't wide enough for it to show its heading by default. This should show the font (or fonts) used for the element. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1882309 Title: Cutted off font on Facebook in Firefox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1882309/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1882375] Re: Cinnamon custom keyboard shortcuts don't work until logout
A SRU is now available. [Impact] * The users who manually set their own Keyboard Shortcuts will not have them applied until a full reset of Cinnamon occurs. * This can be very annoying and the code insertion is a line that will trigger Cinnamon to rebuild for the user. [Test Case] * The bug is simply reproducable by changing a Keyboard Shortcut and testing it. It will likely not work until you log out and log in again. [Regression Potential] * Through this change it looks like there won't be any regression. Later on I will backport more patches added to cinnamon. * Regression will probably happen, or will only happen later on when this version of Cinnamon becomes ancient. [Other Info] * Backporting patch from Linux Mint upstream, solved a few other issues Requesting sponsorship. ** Patch added: "1-4.4.8-4ubuntu1.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cinnamon/+bug/1882375/+attachment/5391803/+files/1-4.4.8-4ubuntu1.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1882375 Title: Cinnamon custom keyboard shortcuts don't work until logout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cinnamon/+bug/1882375/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1835644] Re: CRL files are not accessible for the Verify CRL options
Looking at the source code for nm-openvpn-service.c, before this bug was introduced it doesn't appear that the crl-verify option was ever implemented or used, as it is not found within the code. The only lines that refer to crl-verify were introduced in Ubuntu 19.04, and consist of the following: tmp = nm_setting_vpn_get_data_item (s_vpn, NM_OPENVPN_KEY_CRL_VERIFY_FILE); if (tmp) args_add_strv (args, "--crl-verify", tmp); else { tmp = nm_setting_vpn_get_data_item (s_vpn, NM_OPENVPN_KEY_CRL_VERIFY_DIR); if (tmp) args_add_strv (args, "--crl-verify", tmp, "dir"); } Frankly I do not know how or why "/var/lib/openvpn/chroot/" gets incorrectly prepended to the file path in the openvpn argument string, but the crl-verify option clearly doesn't work (or may never have worked after it was introduced). This needs fixing ASAP. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835644 Title: CRL files are not accessible for the Verify CRL options To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-openvpn/+bug/1835644/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1835644] Re: CRL files are not accessible for the Verify CRL options
This is a serious problem compromising the security of OpenVPN on Linux. This bug needs to be fixed ASAP, I had no idea this was an issue until "upgrading" to this broken version of the network manager in Ubuntu 20.04. [Bug 1887247] Re: Annoying drum sound that I turned off ages ago has turned on again after upgrade
I understand the frustration. Windows has the annoying habit of resetting your settings too after a major/"cumulative" update. Going from Unity to GNOME probably made it harder for Ubuntu devs to transfer all the personalization settings. Note: Please watch your language. They're serious about that here. https://ubuntu.com/community/code-of-conduct ** Description changed: I have just upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04 Now, every time I hit the TAB key in a terminal to autocomplete a file name, when there is no option or more than one, an annoying and ungodly loud drum sound plays. I'm pretty sure I disabled that sound years ago, probably even before I - even upgraded to 16.04. I fucking hate it. + even upgraded to 16.04. I don't want to be forced to re-configure everything. If I turned off a certain kind of system sounds, I expect this configuration to be kept after I upgrade to a newer release. Otherwise I might as well wipe out my hard disk and do a clean install, if you are going to reset my - settings anyway. For fuck's sake. + settings anyway. And by the way, if the sound had been chosen with a minimum of taste and was not disproportionately loud (my global volume is pretty low) I probably wouldn't need to turn it off in the first place, as in principle it can be useful. This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed- focal' to 'verification-done-focal'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-focal' to 'verification-failed-focal'. If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. [Bug 1887254] Re: The new design makes maximized windows unusable
And by the way, this idiocy of having the system bar PLUS the maximized window's top bar (which used to be one) eats up a significant amount of vertical space, and gives ZERO extra functionality. There's a lot of empty space in both, and they contain the exact same elements that were already there, only rearranged differently, with the only exception of the "Activities" thing which I guess I'll learn is very useful, but could have been a small icon that could have fit in the original design without adding a whole extra line. Unbelievable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887254 Title: The new design makes maximized windows unusable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1887254/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1887254] [NEW] The new design makes maximized windows unusable
Public bug reported: I have just upgraded from ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 (and I would have upgraded to 20.04 already if the stupid package manager weren't unable to resolve some conflicts which are "holding back" packages). An unbelievavly stupid mistake was made in the new design of windows. When you maximize a window, the title bar used to be at the very top of the screen, and the close/minimize/restore buttons used to be at the top-left corner of the screen. That means they had a property that in interface design has even a name, "infinite width" or "infinite something", that is: you can move the mouse all the way to the top and all the way to the left without having to "stop at the right time" in order to "land" within the area of the button, because the screen edges limit the mouse cursor. Now, the title bar of the window is no longer at the very top of the screen. At the top of the screen is a system bar. I mean that was already there, but the window buttons used to be in it on the left, as if the system bar at the top of the screen *was* the window title bar. Now the window title bar is just below it, and the buttons have been moved to the right (the fact that they have been moved from the left to the right after decades being on the left is irritating AF, but it's irrelevant here). So now the buttons, while still at the horizintal edge of the screen, are no longer at the corner of the screen, so when you "shoot" the mouse pointer to go to their area, you cannot simply go as far as you can and then click, you have to move a little bit down from the top in order to click the buttons. It's not just an aesthetic thing, it's a huge usablility thing. And it's not just a matter of habits and getting used to, it's objectively a step backwards (actually, it's a step in a completely new dimension, one of stupidity). It violates a very well known UI design principle that has been established for decades - and for a good reason, not just for historical reasons. Please revert this madness. [Bug 1883390] Re: Clicking on an app icon doesn't work if it's opened in another workspace
I've some news about this bug. I've another PC with Ubuntu 16.04 installed. The updates had not been made since some time. I checked that the bug was not existing at that moment. Then I did the system upgrade with sudo apt-get update, upgrade and dist-upgrade, autoremove. And the bug did not occurred... I know that if the developers are not able to reproduce, they'll not be able to fix that bug for my laptop. I'm going to try to find the differences between the two laptops to give you information, but I know that maybe I'll never find it. The most annoying is the fact that the handle of title bars of some windows are behind the Ubuntu top bar, but I can manage it with alt + mouse right click to move windows. [Bug 1887247] Re: Annoying drum sound that I turned off ages ago has turned on again after upgrade
Actually the "Alert volume" does affect the volume of the drum sound I get when using Tab in a terminal. And I now notice that the sound I get in the terminal is actually two sounds together: a sort of drum and the one I choose in the Settings menu. This is stupid: - it plays two sounds simultaneously, one of which I can choose and the other I can't (or I can through a separate configuration which God knows where the fuck it is) - I can't seem to choose which events play sounds and which don't. If I reduce the "Alert volume" to zero, I'm afraid I'll be muting other kinds of alert sound that I do want to hear. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887247 Title: Annoying drum sound that I turned off ages ago has turned on again after upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1887247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1887247] [NEW] Annoying drum sound that I turned off ages ago has turned on again after upgrade
Public bug reported: I have just upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04 Now, every time I hit the TAB key in a terminal to autocomplete a file name, when there is no option or more than one, an annoying and ungodly loud drum sound plays. I'm pretty sure I disabled that sound years ago, probably even before I even upgraded to 16.04. I fucking hate it. I don't want to be forced to re-configure everything. If I turned off a certain kind of system sounds, I expect this configuration to be kept after I upgrade to a newer release. Otherwise I might as well wipe out my hard disk and do a clean install, if you are going to reset my settings anyway. For fuck's sake. And by the way, if the sound had been chosen with a minimum of taste and was not disproportionately loud (my global volume is pretty low) I probably wouldn't need to turn it off in the first place, as in principle it can be useful. [Bug 1887243] Re: Distribution upgrade was a fucking disaster
Unbelievable, I fixed this by running from a command line: - sudo apt-get dist-upgrade - sudo apt-get upgrade I expected this to be the exact same thing the GUI-based software updater was supposed to do when I said yes to the "partial upgrade". Or anyway, if this is what was needed, it should have done it, or told me to do it. [Bug 1887243] [NEW] Distribution upgrade was a fucking disaster
Public bug reported: I dist-upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04 through the GUI, following all the steps that were given on screen. Almost at the end of the process this error occurred (see screenshot 1) (wait a moment, I can't attach more than one file to the bug report? I'll have to attach them later. This bug tracker is so shitty) Then, I don't know whether related or not, this one: (screenshot 2) "The upgrade has aborted. Your system could be in an unusable state. A RECOVERY WILL RUN NOW (dpkg -configure -a)" (emphasys added) I expected the mentioned recovery to run. By run I mean I expected to get news about it. Like: did the recovery go well? What the fuck am I supposed to do? Nothing. I don't know whether the supposed "recovery" was run in a fraction of a second in the background silently, or if it wasn't, but I was left with no instructions whatsoever about what to do next. It's bad enough that the error occurred in the first place. "your system could be in an unusable state". That's unacceptable. But then you have to tell me what the fuck I am supposed to do about it. So then I restarted the system and ran Update Manager (not sure that's the name, the thing that usually shows up automatically to install every-day updates). This showed this other message... (ok wait, let me minimize all my windows one by one manually to look for the screenshot, because another brilliant feature of 18.10 is that the fucking shortcut to show desktop no longer exist, or has been changed to something undiscoverable) Well it seems this one got lost. Anyway, it said that some upgrade couldn't be installed or something, and that I could attempt a "partial upgrade". I chose yes. That process completed. It told me that the partial upgrade (whatever the fuck it is) was completed succesfully. I restarted a bunch of times. I ran the same Update Manager a few times in the hope that it would show me the option to upgrade to 20.04, but it always comes back with this "partial upgrade" bullshit. It always does the whole thing (getting new packages, installing the upgrades, cleaning up), always ends with what looks like a confirmation of succesful completion, and then the next time it does the same again. [Bug 1887241] [NEW] connection to a nfs volume from a client freezes the whole server randomly

[Bug 1887240] Re: screenshot no longer lets me copy before/without saving, nor choose where to save, if done via keyboard shortcut
Actually I see that half of the screenshots *were* lost (unless they were saved to some other random location that I have no way of knowing). So half of the time gnome-screenshot actually was not working (which could be partially expected during an upgrade while some of the system has been upgraded and some hasn't - but then I should have been shown a error message), and half of the time it was silently saving the screenshots to the default directory; and I couldn't even tell the difference.
