empty box. It gets fixed when I suspend the system then re-login. so I
have to suspend and re-login each time I restart my pc for the wifi to
detect my network and reconnects to it.

This is a known issue - https://github.com/alexmurray/emacs-
snap/issues/10 - unfortunately the nature of classic snaps and
fontconfig means there will always be incompatibilities between the
fontconfig library packaged in the snap and the hosts fontconfig

It appears that GRUB in focal (2.04-1ubuntu26.6) doesn't load or save
values to grubenv when using entries that are under a submenu. This is
similar to LP #1816633
For context, this issue arose using the latest focal cloud image (https
://cloud-images.ubuntu.com/focal/current
It looks like attach_mac_events() in hookutils.py needs updating too.
And the package hooks for update-manager and ubuntu-release-upgrader
need updating too.

Thanks Daniel, and I will continue posting the prevboot files to see if
there is something that we can pinpoint. As for the amdgpu drivers,
those were not automatically detected when I installed ubuntu (that is,
if I go to the additional drivers, only the wifi chip is detected and
not the graphics
