[Bug 1931790] Re: Unable to mount btrfs RAID 1 filesystem after reboot - Error - device total_bytes should be at most X but found Y
As a workaround, I installed the 5.4 kernel using mainline and my raid1 btrfs volume seems to be mounting fine..The issue is present even with latest mainline 5.13 kernel..so definitely more people should be seeing this.. as and when probably they create/convert to raid 1.. @:~$ uname -a Linux monster 5.4.126-0504126-generic #202106160800 SMP Wed Jun 16 12:12:41 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux @:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. yes indeed. On the certification page they talk about "I219-V". I didn't even notice that. That's a good clue. hmm you describe exactly the same problem as I have. Public bug reported: Actually, I came across this while I was trying to solve another problem in my system. When I installed the ubuntu, turns there was no ethernet driver. So at first I manually downloaded the build-essentials and then the driver from another pc and then installed them into this system. Everything was working fine but lateron during apt update the ethernet wasnot working again. So I tried re-installing the driver, but then there was some issue with the make file. Then I tried connecting the device to internet using USB-tethering and perpromed apt update. It was then that there were some descrepancies occured which asked me to perform '--fix-broken install'. Hi Evan, Just checking in. Are you still running 5.4.0-75-generic on your server? Is everything nice and stable? Is your data fully intact, and no signs of corruption at all? My server has been running for two weeks now, and it does a fstrim every 30 minutes, and everything appears to be stable, and I don't have any corruption when I fsck my disks. If things keep looking good, the SRU cycle will complete early next week, and the kernel will be released to -updates around the 21st of June, give or take a few days if any CVEs turn up. Catfish is suppose to find the filenames that you are looking for based off the search terms that you provide. 4) What happened instead? Catfish becomes unresponsive after entering search terms, but sometimes it works and the files are found, but most of the time it becomes unresponsive. I don’t think I can narrow down which firmware file causes the problem, because I don’t have a last known good version. All firmware files that I tested (Ubuntu versions 1.190.5, 1.197 and latest linux-firmware.git) immediately trigger the bug when I try the only reliable reproducer I know (i.e., running flatpak’s com.github.quaternion package). Since it can take several days for the bug to happen if I just use the machine normally, it would take weeks to narrow down which of the picasso_* files is more stable relative to the others. And even then, I wouldn’t be sure about it. > > I think it may be related to a change in mesa. Specifically mesa > > commit > > 820dec3f7c7. I’m running with the Mesa build from Mario’s PPA now. If I don’t see any issue within two weeks, I think it will be possible to say that the bug is gone, or at least much harder to hit. [Bug 1932233] Re: lubuntu focal.3 daily - calamares crashed prior install
System was rebooted, live started & install completed on next try. The difference was lack of selecting this, selecting that, & loads of hovering over partitions to get 'sda1' & 'sda2' to show on map down the bottom. [Bug 1931756] Re: [XPS 17 9700, Intel Kabylake HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] Playback problem
Hello again. Thank You for your continuing help. As I did before, I tried to load 5.11.0-20 but absolutely no luck. I found the packages at ubuntu.paks(?).org but they locked me up totally. My system froze halfway through the boot process. Tried it 3 times. Same result. I found some more at the ubuntu kernel team site but after loading the kernel nothing showed in grub-customizer or the grub boot menu. Synaptic shows it is loaded and so does: dpkg -l | tail -n +6 | grep -E 'linux-image-[0-9]+' | grep -Fv $(uname -r) rc linux-image-5.11.0-20-generic 5.11.0-20.21~20.04.1 amd64Signed kernel image generic rc linux-image-5.8.0-43-generic 5.8.0-43.49~20.04.1 amd64Signed kernel image generic rc linux-image-5.8.0-55-generic 5.8.0-55.62~20.04.1 amd64Signed kernel image generic ii linux-image-5.8.0-56-generic 5.8.0-56.63~20.04.1 amd64Signed kernel image generic ii linux-image-5.8.0-57-generic 5.8.0-57.64~20.04.1 amd64Signed kernel image generic 5.11.0-20 does not show on any menu. My best guess is possibly dependency issues. Can I try a later kernel? I am using LTS 20.04 and not 21.04 which may be required. Another option is for me is to pop in another ssd and try another distro. Would that work? How strongly do you feel about this? I can see where you're coming from, but given (a) the escape hatch mechanism to 'break the rules' isn't too onerous (b) the ease with which brittle code can be written (c) the simplicity of 'deny leading digit' compared against 'make sure there's at least one non-digit' or 'make sure there's at least one letter' etc I prefer the simpler rule. [Bug 1932122] Re: ubuntu installer crashed
According to the logs, sda1 is formatted as an ext2 partition; so it's not an ESP since an ESP must be FAT. It's possible we could improve ubiquity's handling of this case, but if you are skipping ubiquity's support for automatically configuring your partitions correctly, you're somewhat on your own for getting the partitions right. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1932122 Title: ubuntu installer crashed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1932122/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1932205] [NEW] Canon iP90 Ptr outputs blank pgs in 20.04, works in Win10
Public bug reported: Ver: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Expected: CUPS to print to an iP90 inkjet printer. What happens: Whenever I try to print anything to the iP90, it outputs ~14 blank pages with a ghostly thin line across the top of the page. It hesitates after drawing the sheet of paper into the machine so that's where it's printing that single line (or multiple lines but very tiny), and then spits out the page without printing anything else. That squished line on top is so small, and with the rest of the page blank, I reuse that paper when I leave Ubuntu and boot to Win10. Then I can print to the iP90 all day and the pages come out fine. What I've tried: I've loaded and deleted the CUPS driver for the iP90 numerous times to no avail. CUPS recognizes the USB printer is attached and it's name & model number.
