Not sure if it's going to help anybody else but I fixed my problem by
correcting broken symlinks with nvidia-suspend.service. It was pointing
to a missing file/location (/lib/systemd/system/nvidia-suspend.service).
I simply created empty files to match the broken links.

I have also observed Firefox stopping refreshing windows when I added a
new external monitor to a laptop screen running awesome VM. On Focal,
the laptop is a Lenovo X1 Yoga 2nd gen.

@malangaman - The release upgrade process works by downloading a tarball
of ubuntu-release-upgrader from the archive for the release of Ubuntu to
which you are going to upgrade. Then that tarball is extracted and the
code ran, so there is no need to download and install the latest version
of
@Bill Miller - please open a new bug report using 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-
release-upgrader' as that will gather logs which will help in debugging
your failure to upgrade. Thanks in advance!

Why is this listed as a "papercut"? From Regina's analysis in Comment
48, the developer is going to have to be very careful to not break
things worse than they fix. For a student developer new the codebase,
this sounds like a standalone project itself.

Today, the greeter was normal but its been weeks since I booted the
