[Bug 1955611] Re: Unable to boot Live USB on Mac
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. This package failure looks like it was caused by bad ISO download, corrupted install media, or device failure, assuming /dev/sdb is your installation media; the error "/dev/sdb: No medium found" is an ability to recognize the media as valid. The question to attempt to download is the solution offered in that circumstance. Possibly useful : https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-how-to- verify-ubuntu#0 though it sounds like that was not your issue (having performed checks), but the writing of the ISO was not done correctly (possibly with older software that couldn't cope with 20.04.3 media). For Support, this bug report can be converted into a question, or you can ask a question on https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709 ** Package changed: ubuntu => syslinux (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1955611 Title: Unable to boot Live USB on Mac To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/syslinux/+bug/1955611/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi. It seems that this problem is still present in 2.4.48. Looking to mod_proxy.h, PROXY_WORKER_MAX_NAME_SIZE & PROXY_BALANCER_MAX_NAME_SIZE are still set to 96 char long, causing some "AH02808 Alert! worker name * too long; truncated to *" in our logs Having a lot of Proxy conf, injected at runtime by other team, stop/start logs are dumping hundreds of these warning lines, though and as far as I can understand, do no arm to Apache runtime behavior. [Bug 1955594] [NEW] "Show Applications" does not permit scrolling through installed apps.
Public bug reported: When I select "Show Applications" to view all installed apps in Gnome on Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, the window does not allow me to scroll through the installed applications. After doing some testing, I discovered that this is related to me having "Fractional Scaling" enabled with a setting of 125% in the display settings. I am using a 4K display and use this setting to make windows and text appear larger on the screen. If I set the scaling to 100% or simply disable Fractional Scaling, I am able to scroll through the list of installed apps normally. All other fractional scaling settings (100%, 150%, 175% and 200%) work perfectly. Only 125% is affected. For reference, my display resolution is set to 3840x2180 @ 60Hz. It is kind of late in the life of this release to do much about this, but I thought I should pass this info along. [Bug 1955588] [NEW] Panic or segfault in Samba
Public bug reported: The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action, was called for PID 61029 (/usr/sbin/smbd). This means there was a problem with the program, such as a segfault. Below is a backtrace for this process generated with gdb, which shows the state of the program at the time the error occurred. [Bug 1955587] [NEW] temporary freeze on login screen
Public bug reported: On resume from sleep (suspend), 21.10 login screen from gdm3 41~rc-0ubuntu2 is displayed but the GUI freezes instantly for about 10-20 seconds. The WiFi indicator in top right corner is missing, when it appears the GUI is again responsive and I can type password or do anything else. This doesn't occur when on wired LAN (docked). The system is Lenovo Yoga P40 laptop, WiFi is Intel 8260 dual WiFi/Bluetooth card. Turning Bluetooth on or off has no effect on this behavior, turning Wi-Fi off before suspending removes the problem. As a newcomer, I am not sure what other information should I attach, please let me know what additional info would be helpful. [Bug 1955579] Re: Text disappears in GNOME Shell 3.36.9
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1955579/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1955579] [NEW] Text disappears in GNOME Shell 3.36.9
Public bug reported: This bug occurs when staying in one of the voice channels on Discord for prolonged periods of time. Open Discord 2. Enter into any voice channel on Discord and just stay there for a day, it may range from 30 minutes to 24 hours for it to occur. Expected results: The text shouldn't vanish from the desktop environment and it shouldn't cause any graphical issues. Instead, if anything stops working, it should reload! And the Settings app should open without crashing. Actual results: The text vanishes from the desktop environment and/or other graphical errors occur, and the GNOME settings app crashes upon attempting to open. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug. I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect 1955542 When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. If you cannot run this from the installed system, please boot the installation media on the machine you installed on and run `apport- collect` from there (that will provide release details as well as the relevant hardware details). Please leave a comment if you do this, so it's known how the details provided relate to your issue. Currently no release details are known, nor what ISO was used to install, etc. so it's difficult to evaluate the issue. After running `apport-collect` the status can be returned to "New". [Bug 1955353] Re: Installing linux-modules-extra-raspi in chroot triggers flash-kernel which fails

Which means it needs to flash something. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1955353 Title: Installing linux-modules-extra-raspi in chroot triggers flash-kernel which fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flash-kernel/+bug/1955353/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
