Sorry, my instructions weren't clear enough. You can have different
kernel versions (packages) installed at the same time but obviously only
one is 'active'. The running (active) kernel looks for modules in its
directory, basically /lib/modules/$(uname -r).

be edited. Instead it's the existence of the files 'with-jack', 'with-
pulseaudio' or 'with-alsa' that trigger the 'with-audio' settings.
So I now think the cleanest solution is for us to just not install these
