the hook script /etc/dhcp3/dhclient-exit-hooks.d/whereami
This caused NetworkManager to go into an infinite loop. I'm reproducing

For a couple weeks now, there is no num lock upon starting the Unity
session, as there should be.
Behaviour confirmed on two separate Ubuntu 19.10 Unity stations.

After updating to Thunderbird 68.1.1 from the Ubuntu archive, folder
names Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Archives, Spam, Trash all appear in English
in the French UI. The rest of the UI is in French.
This issue is still present in Thunderbird 1:68.1.2+build1-0ubuntu1.
As asked, I have removed the Enigmail add-on installed from the add-on store,
clased Thunderbird, installed Enigmail 2:2.1.2-0ubuntu1 from the Ubuntu archive
and the problem persists, now in Thunderbird 1:68.1.2+build1-0ubuntu1.
I still can’t reproduce the issue with the Thunderbird version

FYI. This Ubuntu Hirsute is using the Unity desktop.
It turns out that after updating redshift to version 1.12-4, two redshift
instances were running on the system. Only one of the two redshift-gtk could be
closed (I then disabled the Redshift present in the Startup Apps), the second

A colleague of mine upgraded his Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy to Ubuntu 21.04 Hirsute,
and though Redshift-gtk worked perfectly before the upgrade to Ubuntu 21.04, he
experienced the same issues after the upgrade.
It seems to be related to the interaction of Redshift-gtk with Ubuntu Hirsute.

After today’s updates of unity-session, gnome-session, I still can’t
load Unity. From lightDM, I get stuck on the background. Tried unity-
tweak-tool --reset to no avail. So as far as I’m concerned, this is not
solved.
