The touchpad itself works, but tracing the finger from one side of the
pad to the other moves the cursor about 1cm and vertical scroll doesn't
work. Both of these things did work before I made the first lot of

and hibernate are both in the right-click list by default) but the
suspend hotkey is disabled.

I'm thinking that it must be some (tv tuner or lirc?) module that is in
the Mythbuntu kernel but not the Ubuntu one. Can anyone think of
anything I can try? Thanks again.

Note that the fix released from upstream isn't really fix released.
It is more a temporary WONTFIX while textures with UNKNOWN license
tags are replaced.
@Ryan - it does compete with Windows on this front: visit the UFO
website and download the installer, run it and you have the game
installed.
Note that the latest release is now version 2.2 (with some excellent
enhancements). The latest deb is still available here:

(although I personally use the Gnu/Lunix .run file from the official site).

Yes, I can reproduce it with icedtea-gcjwebplugin. The exact same
behavior occurs as reported. Does it work for you, Matti?
As a side note, I can't install icedtea-gcjwebplugin through an up-to-
date Firefox. When I click to install gcjwebplugin (IcedTea) (which is
the only IcedTea option), it
Hang on - are you saying that if you have the computer set to suspend
when you close the lid, and you have music playing, closing the lid no
longer suspends the computer? I would consider that a bug, as I would
expect lid-events to trump the suspend inhibit.
