[Bug 1906792] [NEW] Chromium tabs freeze with two windows on different workspaces on Wayland
Public bug reported: When using Chromium (snap) on Wayland (gnome-session), if I keep two windows open on different workspaces, sometimes the current tab becomes unusable as it freezes or is super-slow. [Bug 1878769] [NEW] [SRU] updates to the maas deb2snap package
Public bug reported: The current (1:0.6) maas packages in focal provide transition to the MAAS snap. This is currently done by getting maas from "stable/ubuntu-$release" for the default branch (which is currently 2.7). We want to change this to ensure a consistent behavior, always installing 2.7 even once a new release becomes the default track. The attached MP implement this, along with a few fixes/cleanups for the current preinst logic. Specifically, the current package doesn't handle an upgrade from a previous version of the transitional package. [Impact] * upgrading to focal currently migrates to the stable/ubuntu-20.04 snap, which is currently 2.7 but will be 2.8 in the future [Testcase] * Install maas on bionic (either from archive or ppa:maas/2.6) * Upgrade to focal. * `snap info maas` shows snap installed from `2.7/stable/ubuntu-20.04` [Regression potential] * Regression potential is low, aside from the desired change in behavior selecting snap channel the branch prvoides a fix for the case of upgrading the transitional package to a newer version. ** Affects: maas (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Merge proposal linked: https://code.launchpad.net/~ack/ubuntu/+source/maas/+git/maas/+merge/384013 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878769 Title: [SRU] updates to the maas deb2snap package To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/maas/+bug/1878769/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1862503] Re: Installer crashed
I did want to have @ and @home. When installing previous ubuntu releases, I usually kept the btrfs partition with the @home subvolume, and moved the @ one out of the way, and the installer would create the new @ subvol for root, and reuse @home. This my current layout (on eoan) is the following: /dev/sda1 EFI -> /boot/efi /dev/sda2 ext2 -> /boot /dev/sda3 LUKS volume, containingt the "ubuntu" LVM PV with following LVs: "swap" -> swap "root" -> btrfs with "@" and "@home" Before reinstalling, I just moved "@" to "@-eoan" and manually recreated the same layout, picking /dev/ubuntu/root as btrfs filesystem mounted at /, without formatting. The installer creates the @ subvolume and reuses the @home one. Since this attempt, I've been unable to test the install again because of #1867065 which doesn't get me past boot. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862503 Title: Installer crashed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1862503/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1862846] Re: Crash and failure installing focal
@Ryan FWIW the reason the install doesn't mark anything as modified is that I was trying to keep the btrfs root partition (/dev/sda3) and just install there. I thought the installer would work similarly to what the desktop installer does with btrfs, where it creates subvolumes for / and /home in the root partition (as @ and @home). On my desktop, when I upgrade I just move @ out of the way (by renaming it) and the installer creates a new one. This is kinda nice as you can easily keep/revert to the old rootfs by just changing which subvol is mounted at boot. [Bug 1862503] Re: Installer crashed
I was performing a clean install using a custom disk setup, with a btfs root where I had backed up and removed the "@" subvol, and kept the existing "@home". Tried two times, installer always crashed. Maybe unrelated, but after restoring the old "@" and rebooting, grub picked the new (5.4.0) kernel, and that failed to boot because it couldn't find LVM.
