didn't work for me on edgy either. And bug #83313 is with a different
chipset (intel instead of SiI). Hopefully it'll be fixed with the same

When using gnome-sound-properties, the Play buttons next to the system
sounds on the Sounds tab produce no sound. In addition, system login
and -out sounds are not played.
All sound playback tests produce a test tone.

bug 139144 states specifically, I can hear perfectly sounds in gnome
sound preferences which is not the case for me in this bug. bug 129029
says that it's working fine there too. For me they do *not* work when
clicking Play on the sounds tab in gnome-sound-properties.

I don't remember which Ubuntu version (I think it was Gutsy) but trying
it out now with current Gutsy does not have this problem.
I'll re-open if I experience the bug again.

When trying to download a .deb file using Epiphany, it prompts:
File Type: “Software package”.
It is unsafe to open “filename.deb” as it could potentially damage your
documents or invade your privacy. You can download it instead.
It then gives the options save as... and
Gutsy; 2.0.0.6; 0.95.0; theme: default; extensions: none (not sure how
to check); addons: enigmail, lightning (lightning installed but not
enabled).
Currently, cancel and OK both work the same; they'll prompt one
additional time, and then fail.
