This is probably caused by using libcairo2 1.9.6-6~mrw4, from the ppa:matthaeus123/mrw-insane-build PPA. You need to downgrade back to the Ubuntu package version 1.8.10-2ubuntu1 of libcairo2. The reason for the segfault is that Openshot uses the python bindings for libcairo, the PPA does not
