Hey Jorge,

Thanks for your bug report, but this seems to be a duplicate of bug
267241 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-
server/+bug/267241)

It is a bug on the xorg-server and we are waiting for a patch in the bug
upstream.

However, in the comments on that bug there are a couple of workarounds
that could help you to solve the problem.

If you still think that yous is a different problem, feel free to reopen
the issue.

[Bug 495082] [NEW] Changing from default user to guest session and back crashes gdm

2009-12-10 Thread Ara Pulido
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

In Lucid Alpha 1 testing.

Steps to reproduce:

 * Log in with the default user
 * Without closing the session, go to the Guest Session
 * Without closing the Guest Session, go to Switch User (the default user would
appear as logged in) and select the default user
 * Without closing the session, again, go to Guest Session
 * Without closing the Guest Session, again, go to Switch User (the default
user would appear as logged in) and select the default user. GDM crashes.

Apport (although I enabled it) didn't catch the crash. I will attach
dmesg and syslog.

[Bug 438009] [NEW] Selecting and dragging text freezes the X session

2009-09-28 Thread Ara Pulido
Public bug reported:

I am guessing that this is a bug in python-webkit, as I can reproduce
the same symptoms in both Gwibber Liferea.

I have this habit of selecting text while I am reading something on the
screen. Unfortunately, when I do this in both gwibber and liferea, my X
session hangs really easily.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open gwibber or liferea.
2. While you're reading a post, select the text you're reading and drag it
3. After a while, the pointer will be frozen.
4. You will need to move to a different xterm to kill the application

Note: this is less painful to reproduce in gwibber, as in liferea any
attempt that didn't freeze the application will create a new
subscription.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386

[Bug 438652] [NEW] There is no operating system installed is not always true

2009-09-29 Thread Ara Pulido
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubiquity: 1.99.26 (Karmic Beta)

If I try to install Ubuntu desktop on top of LVM encrypted, I get the
message There is no operating system installed in this disk.

This message is not true. If ubiquity cannot tell, because the partition
is encrypted, it should inform the user with a clearer message.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
