required an ALSA update to the latest stable), except for the integrated
gigabit ethernet controller. It has the latest available bios. The GbE
controller is enabled in the bios configuration.

I tried the propietary atheros L1 Gigabit ethernet driver found here:

Hi, I made some more testing. The three-click-to-open and the slowness
when opening happens when using Beryl as window manager. When using
Metacity all is good. So this looks like a Beryl interaction problem.

Today I tried the latest rt2500 CVS driver. It was a total disaster,
the machine didn't boot anymore. Thanks to all the rt2500 mess, I am now
fluent in blacklisting drivers and reloading ndiswrapper, so I booted

I can confirm this bug. I've compiled alsa from sources and I would
change the path of alsa. So I delete folders of alsa and now I have
alsa-lib-1.0.16rc2 in trash lol and I can't delete it. Click right
button mouse on trash applet @gnome panel and pick 'Clean Trash' (in
polish is Opróżnij kosz).
I can confirm this on Hardy.

When amarok has been hanging, I can't doing whatever with it. So any
report of the bug isn't showing, so I runed amarokapp from console by
strace.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Run amarok
2. Click Play/Pause (with option Shuffle-Tracks - I'm not sure that is, I have
polish translation)
3. 1st song
Now I've Amarok compiled from SVN and this same problem is alive. In
gnome-system-monitor amarokapp look as futex_wait when has been hanged.
/var/crash doesn't have anything about amarok. The backtrace gives info
about libxine. Maybe I don't have installed any libraries or codecs?

Mario, the fix for this is having HAL bypass the saa7134 infrared port.
The most flexible way to do this is the adding and .fdi file
(remote.fdi file in /usr/share/hal/fdi/preprobe/20thirdparty/)

is default opening new folders in tabs (like in Firefox), so middle-

I had to remove it because synaptics requested it, it has a conflict
with nvidia-glx-new (the newest nvidia driver that Desktop-Effects
uses). When installing nvidia-settings, the driver is silently reverted
to nvidia-glx, which in turn made my machine enter into safe graphics
mode.
