[Bug 1796187] [NEW] Writer hangs for over 20 minutes loading a 3MB, 450-page DOCX

2018-10-04 Thread Asaf Bartov
Public bug reported:

Trying to load the attached DOCX results in a hang. I force-quit after
20 minutes. The DOCX was created in MS Word (2013 I think), and is
about 450 pages, thousands of footnotes, but no graphics AFAIK.

I am using the latest package provided by snap. LibreOffice 6.1.2.1.
Ubuntu 18.04.

[Bug 948108] Re: Failed to install libqtcore4:i386: conffile './etc/xdg/Trolltech.conf' is not in sync with other instances of the same package

2012-05-05 Thread Asaf Bartov
Actually, not quite the same. I am trying to install libqtcore4:i386 in
addition to libqtcore4, because I'm trying to use the 32-bit Skype.

I don't understand why dpkg --force-all does not override this error and
install anyway. Help much appreciated.

[Bug 912702] Re: the window Wireless Network Authentication Required keeps popping up until the end of times even though the previous one was not closed

2012-03-26 Thread Asaf Bartov
Same symptoms here, but it has always been that way ever since
installing 11.10 -- whenever the machine can't connect to the wireless
access point (there are some genuine wifi issues where I am), it pops up
a new authentication window every few minutes. Could it be the window
is not appropriately application-modal? (or whatever it's called these
days...)
